Exceptional choices for breakfast and also offered some choices not on the menu which was great! Parking is on both sides of the road so you dont have to carry luggage across the road! Rooms are on the ground and first floor - please request at time of booking!

I went to Wentworth to learn about family history.

I went to Wentworth to learn about family history. The Wentworth Garden Center was great! It was beautiful and had great food. Learning the history about the miners and the villages gave a better understanding about the city (and family). The Wentworth Woodhouse (the Big House) was breathtaking and the gardens have no words to explain the peace and beauty. The house and its surrounding monuments are a must see.

We were told the rooms and bar were being upgraded in October and it's well overdue. The first room we were allocated smelled of damp and there was black mould in the bathroom. We should never have been put there. The second room was clean and warm but fixtures and fittings were worn and tired looking.

A welcoming pub to stay in for a night tor two.

A welcoming pub to stay in for a night tor two. Decent food, comfortable bed, quiet location and good-sized room. Pleasant staff. Next door to Wentworth Woodhouse. The old church is worth a look for its impressive funerary monuments of the earls of Strafford. Pretty village.

Wentworth is a quaint little village with Wentworth Woodhouse, the village church and the garden centre all well worth a visit. The local pub - the Rockingham Arms is a great place to eat with food reasonably priced.

Wentworth is not so easy to find from the motorway but for its location and history is worth the effort. The Woodhouse estate is the main attraction and there are other villages close by that have their own attractions. Rather high proportion of traffic through Wentworth but some good walking areas and lovely scenery. The Rockingham Arms serves food all day. I plan to return next Spring when Wentworth Woodhouse has improved its gardens but will find accommodation on a less popular route.

Great little cottage/ hotel based in a lovely little village. Perfect location with a 5 minute drive from where I was working in wombwell. Staff was lovely & attentive from the moment I arrived. The hotel room was lovely & clean, perfect for my two night stay. Would definitely stay here again if I'm ever that end of the country.

The room was across the road from the hotel in a quiet part of a cottage and fulfilled our request for a quiet room please. The range of cask beers was good and the evening meal we had was excellent served in a pleasant eating area to the right of the entrance.
