Worksop is a Gateway to explore North Notts, South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire. It has an abundance of beautiful parks, Historic Houses and Golf courses on its doorstep that you are spoiled for choice. Sheffield, Doncaster, Gainsborough, Chesterfield Mansfield and Nottingham are all within easy reach. Edwinstowe and Sherwood Forest, which is probably Nottinghamshire biggest tourist attraction is only six miles away and is also where Center Parcs (Sherwood) is located. The Worksop area is great for easy access to lots of nature parks and attractions, such as Sherwood Pines, Sherwood Forest, Thoresby Hall and Clumber Park. Very small town. Small market.
Very small town. Small market. Best places to visit - The house is an ideal place to stay to tour the Dukeries. Welbeck Abby house is not open but visits to the shopping area and the museum are all free. 2 fantastic exhibitions on at the moment. 20 mins. from Whitwell Chatsworth House is not too far away. I recommend the farm shop café. Hardwick Hall was built in 1593. Last tenant died 1960's. Nearly every wall has a tapestry on it.Guest review byChristineUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Loved the hotel and its surrounding gardens and the adjacent canal with its locks will be a great distraction in the summer when the canal boats are passing through. Still very new in appearance and has everything that you would expect and at a very reasonable price. Will make a good base for a touring holiday as it has local attractions and plenty nearby as well. The Staff are absolutely wonderful, cook,manager,bar staff and housekeeping, everyone one of them that I met where lovley and down to earth and great hosts nothing asked was too much and always greeted with lovley manners and warmth 😊 me and my partner were so pleased with our stay and when I come back there (I will 100%) be staying there again 😊... and the food!
