This was definitely our favorite place to stay on the whole Mestia -> Usghuli trek. The guesthouse was in this old house, but with newly made rooms on the upper floor. It's got really nice garden with the view of the valley. The hostess was great and spoke english very well, was also great cook. The dinner was, when compared to other guesthouses, a bit smaller but the portions were just right, everybody was full when we finished and we didn't left a single thing on the table and the hostess also baked dessert for us. Same applies to the breakfast, which was completely different when compared to other guesthouses, which was really nice change. The food was served directly in the kitchen, so you could see the host cook the food in front of your eyes. We had a nice conversation with her and other guests during and after the dinner. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. The wifi was stable and quite fast. The water didn't work in the morning but they fixed the problem in matter of minutes.

This guesthouse was the most satisfying night of my four-day trek from Mestia to Ushguli. Firstly the location, although you can see on the map that it's not in the centre of the village, I think it's not only less crowded than the guesthouses in the middle of the village, it's got a small courtyard and a really nice view. Also, the food here was the best I've had in four days of trekking. Last but not least, the host family is very welcoming, serving us with tea and wine, and their third daughter, anna, is really adorable! I highly recommend this guesthouse.

We stayed at the guesthouse for one night as part of our family trek from Mestia to Ushguli — a family of six (a couple with four children). The place was very clean, and the shower was especially good. Due to religious and dietary restrictions, we prepared a light meal for ourselves, and the kind host provided us with fresh puri bread for breakfast. She also gave us helpful information about crossing the river, which was very useful for the next part of our hike. A pleasant and recommended stop along the trek.
