The hosts were always eager to help; they made us feel comfortable and safe. They are some of the kindest and sweetest people we have ever met. Disclaimer: this is a new hotel, everything is fresh from sheets to wooden furniture. We were one of the first guests. Very cozy new hotel in the center of Mestia near the central square. Spacious and comfortable room with a large balcony with sun loungers and a view of the mountains, very comfortable mattress, practical bathroom with underfloor heating and excellent plumbing, good heating throughout the hotel. Decent European style breakfast. On the first floor there’s very cozy common area where you can spend time in the evening. Very friendly owners who will always help with anything, they’ll give you advice on local restaurants and places to visit and see. Owners speak at least English, German, Georgian and Russian. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this place to anyone to stay in Mestia.

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature...

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature. everything is authentic and not influenced by technology as it is in metropolitan areas. Air is clean and evening till morning is quiet. Godd place for hiking and camping, near by water falls and Ushba mountain has its impact on the place. I have not hiked until the Glacier however reaching waterfall area and crossing wooden bridges were thrilling enough for me. Just to highlight, as it is country side do not expect to have restaurants or Cafeteria or grocery shops. Locals with guesthouses and English language is not their preferred language. Russian language is commonly understood there. Expect simplicity and infrastructure of basic countryside with no complications. So far I had 3 visits to Mazeri, for sure I would prefer to have my own transportation to match my need and convince. If you would hire a driver there then should negotiate as prices varies and public transportation will be limited. Renting a horse is fun, if you cannot ride then can hire a guide along with the horse with extra pay. Hores rental is not expensive, during my visit about US $38 per day

It was a great trip for all of us.

It was a great trip for all of us. Many thanks to Murman and Bacho for their hospitality. Now we know 100% that Svaneti has not only the most beautiful mountains, but also the most hospitable people. All the conditions were 100% as described, the hosts did everything possible to make our stay with them comfortable. A special thanks for the organization of the birthday party for our friend. In general - everything was very good. Thank you for this stay.
