Maria and all of the staff were amazingly friendly and welcoming, they treated me and my fiancé like extended family! Maria in particular kindly helped us organize a car rental and gave us recommendations about how to do so and called around for us. She also offered us use of the facilities after we had checked out but before our ferry and arranged taxis to pick us up from the port of Gavrio. The rooms were spotlessly clean and modern and updated. The rooms are on the smaller side relative to North American standards but are par for the course for a Greek island. The bathroom was nice and roomy with a great shower. The pool area is great as are the beds by the pool and by the beach. The WiFi was good and the signal strength was just about enough for the beach area and excellent at the pool area. Our room also had a balcony which further added to the space.

We were so Happy here. We were looking for a clean, peaceful place with a great view and short walking distance to beautiful beaches, and Villa Maniati ticked all of these boxes. The owner and her son are very helpful, friendly and professional. The photos of the outside of the property do not do it justice, it is much prettier in person, and views of the sea and stars are fantastic. . We had breakfast with delicious coffee which was very convenient. For people staying longer there is a grocery store a short, easy walk away. A relaxing and tranquil stay.

I had such a wonderful stay at Spanos Apartments! Sophia was so kind and always available to answer questions. She even picked me up the first night off the ferry. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. Very clean kitchen and spotless bathroom. It is located a bit out of town, so having a car would be an asset. Extremely quiet, and about 800 meters to the beach and main road. There is also a pizza place and coffee shop located there. Overall, I would definitely book again!

We were there in May so not quite season.

We were there in May so not quite season. It’s very small but served as a good base to visit the island. Some good tavernas. Bit nothing else to do there. Not a beach nearby that is nice for swimming or tanning so would probably recommend Batsi over Gavrio.

Gavrion (Gavrio) is a main ferry port in Andros, but it is not too busy to compare with other Greek ports. It has a charming laid back atmosphere although sometimes (when the ferry comes) might seem busy and chaotic and when there is no ferry - a bit boring. It has everything what an undemanding tourist might need - 2 bakeries, 1 big and 2 or 3 small supermarkets, few tavernas, 2 car rentals. It is a good choice for the base if you want to travel around the island and you have a car. It doesn't have a big beach, but it is free from the hustle of Batsi.

I like Gavrio because it peaceful and still near the port.

I like Gavrio because it peaceful and still near the port. There is enough shops and restaurant and beaches near. But for better experiences you need a car or moto. Andros is very big island with different things to see. Its not only about beaches there are nice villages too and interesting old town and even waterfalls in the mountain. Also for walkers lot of good signed paths.

Not busy, but with enough to do when you don't feel like going anywhere else. The port is there which makes arrival and departure days stress-free, and also 5 minutes drive from the best beaches on the island.

I went with my boyfriend of a week and our stay at Gavrion...

I went with my boyfriend of a week and our stay at Gavrion was incredible. The locals are very friendly and the food delicious. The food may be expensive in some restaurants, you need to know where to search. The locals there helped us a lot Finding the best restaurant for price and quality of food, which was "Pame Vaggeli". Everything in Gavrion is near to each other, which means you can explore the region on foot. However, if you don't own a car, the ticket for the local bus is 5€ per person to explore the whole island and the city of Andros. Also the souvenirs in the city are expensive so I advice to shop in Gavrion where they are cheaper.

Nice big room with balcony and sea view.Just a ten minute walk to the ferry for Rafina.Easy to catch the bus to Andros from the port.Two good hiking trails from Gavrio,the one from Batsi is lovely.An unspolit long beach a ten minute walk away.I liked it here.Room cleaned every day.Bed really comfortable and quiet at night.Supermarket 5 mins walk away with everything you need.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment, the bed was comfortable and it was very well equipped for self catering. It was only 5mins from Gavrio in the car, ideal for supplies or eating out. The huge patio was ideal for sunbathing or for a beach, nearby Fellos was our favourite. Georgia's lovely parents live on site and made sure we were happy with everything.

The location of the house is perfect. It is a five minutes ride by car from Gavrio and from the nearest Agios Petros beach.The view is stunning. We enjoyed the terrace . It is an exceptional feature to the place.
