A great hotel, we had a lovely holiday. The hospitality was excellent, the hotel staff very competent, warm and very friendly. If you had a special request it was fulfilled to your complete satisfaction. The cleanliness was also good. I can only recommend it, keep it up and thank you very much.

Olea suites has an eye for detail, from the smallest design details up until the complete design concept of the garden. The garden was magnificent and as ex-digital nomads we appreciated it a lot. I especially appreciated the fact that the room, being on the ground floor, it was cooler than the rest of the places or any other places we lived on Crete (we went on a longer trip with a few stops).

We stayed at Kato Gouves which is slightly out of Gouves. There are some lovely restaurants and taverna's. We've been many times and like to walk to the beach at Analipsi where there is plenty space.

The restaurants were good and not overpriced.

The restaurants were good and not overpriced. The beaches are over-crowded with sun-loungers. The sun-loungers were costing between 10-20 euros for a set. There is no town as such to wander around.

Our apartment was in Kato Gouves which had several supermarkets and clothes and souvenir shops. There were numerous bars and restaurants too. Our apartment at Fotis Studio Apartments was well located to nearby bus stops that took us into Iraklio and the airport, as well as to other lovely locations.

Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind.

Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind. I'd say it's more appealing for couples rather than young families, but that said, there are some things to keep the kids happy. Beaches are sandy with watersports and there is a waterpark, aquarium and Dinosaur park close by. If you want hussle and bustle, Gouves is not the place for you, it's a laid back resort with most places closing by 1am but a few remain open a bit later. The local people are very friendly and treat you as one of their own.

The Sirroco beach was amazing, Andreas our guy was one of the most amazing guys I ever meet. Also the Island restaurant is great, all the food is amazing. Ask about Irina when you go there, is a great waiter!

Our stay was absolutely incredible! The staff was so kind and welcoming, always happy to help. Not to mention the hotel. It’s so beautifully kept and very clean. The hotel is just small enough with only 10 rooms, so our entire stay felt luxurious and peaceful. Great location, a bit out of the way from the larger resorts. Do not miss out on the food they offer! Breakfast was fabulous and we had a few dinners at their restaurant in the evenings too which is up there with the best meal we had all week. Can’t recommend enough!

The swimming pool really well kept, salted water so i must say particular overall, the lady gave me immediately precise and correct infos about buses and supermakets and she was always available in case of Need. Pity that they are building right in front of the hotel were there was nothing before, so the view Is not so open anymore on the near beach but still good, the Crete Aquarium it's very nice to visit and i was lucky to stay so near we saw It twice included the VR
