Elea Suites & Residences is in a beautiful location surrounded by scenic olive trees and is run by a beautiful family who attend to your every need. It is a very peaceful place with an authentic atmosphere and is only a five-minute walk away from the beach and other facilities such as restaurants and small supermarkets. As soon as we can, we will definitely be returning to Elea Suites & Residences.

It was really nice to stay at the Gouves bay hotel, but the bartender (Kostas) made it better to stay and he made a best cocktails at the bar and also was very friendly guy, the best bartender!!

This hotel is one of the best hotels so far. It is a new hotel with great staff. The rooms are very luxurious, the same goes for the outdoor area, the pools. The cocktails are so so so good! As for the food, it is a very refined cuisine. For certain dishes you have to be a fan of cinnamon, which is typical for Greece. This hotel is ideal if you want to relax. If we may explain small tips: we had room 1001 and missed a few wall hooks or coat racks outside the closet or shower. There is a small pouf but no mirror at seat height. We also missed a long mirror to look at outfits. These are not a must, but can be a positive addition. We want to thank Alexander for the great service and great conversations. We really enjoyed our time there. A big thank you!

We stayed at Kato Gouves which is slightly out of Gouves. There are some lovely restaurants and taverna's. We've been many times and like to walk to the beach at Analipsi where there is plenty space.

The restaurants were good and not overpriced. The beaches are over-crowded with sun-loungers. The sun-loungers were costing between 10-20 euros for a set. There is no town as such to wander around.

Our apartment was in Kato Gouves which had several supermarkets and clothes and souvenir shops. There were numerous bars and restaurants too. Our apartment at Fotis Studio Apartments was well located to nearby bus stops that took us into Iraklio and the airport, as well as to other lovely locations.

Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind.

Gouves is a place to go if you want to completely unwind. I'd say it's more appealing for couples rather than young families, but that said, there are some things to keep the kids happy. Beaches are sandy with watersports and there is a waterpark, aquarium and Dinosaur park close by. If you want hussle and bustle, Gouves is not the place for you, it's a laid back resort with most places closing by 1am but a few remain open a bit later. The local people are very friendly and treat you as one of their own.

The Sirroco beach was amazing, Andreas our guy was one of the most amazing guys I ever meet. Also the Island restaurant is great, all the food is amazing. Ask about Irina when you go there, is a great waiter!

Location of the appartement is excellent, it’s quiet, secure and you have a beach view and a lot of nearby restaurants. The appartement is really clean, it’s also well equipped (stove, pans, forks, iron for clothes, parasol…) and we found food and beverages the first day in the refrigerator. The owners are really kind and nice. They gave us some tips on the best restaurants in Gouves and Iraklio. We had good times in this appartement and especially with the family owners.

Staff were lovely, polite and engaging, food was really nice and the hotel, across all areas is spotlessly clean. If your looking for a family holiday, with kids, this is a great place to go and even in mid October the temp is still 22-24. Beaches are five minutes walk with really competitive hire prices for cars, bikes etc Also, a big shout out to the taxis firms....22 euros private taxi from the airport (about 15 -20mins) imagine that in England!!

The staff were very friendly and there was a family atmosphere between guests and staff. The hotel pool and garden were lovely and the rooms were nice and well equipped. Dino Cappucino was very entertaining. We loved the evening activities and there was always a great atmosphere. There was a live music evening which was wonderful. Thank you for everything! Adam&Laura🇭🇺

Hosts very kind and service is top notch. Room was cleaned every day without being disturbed and without us even asking for it. Very flexible check in and check out. Overall the service and comfort was even better than some 5 star hotels. Would recommend highly and can't wait to stay again.
