Small charming village with open-hearted people ,small shops...

Small charming village with open-hearted people ,small shops with everything, if you go by car you can enjoy veriety of close beaches and villages near by. Katherine is like a small Thessaloniki, but its just approx 20km, Paralia as well ( go to MANDALA BEACH is the best). Every Friday in Makrigialos is traditional open market with local food fruits vegetables cotton products, fresh fish etc with the lowest prices ever! Do not miss to go to Koutsouro restaurant best food always fresh seafoods amazing view small beach bellow, low prices. also great small cafe with great breakfast next to framacy ( forgot the name its something like MПОYГАТSA)🥹😅😂

Very quiet place to enjoy the sea.

Very quiet place to enjoy the sea. The locals are very friendly and helpful. The food is very delicious and there are various places to dine-in. The beaches are decent. I recommend Makrygialos if you prefer relaxation.

So very peaceful. Far from the madding crowd.

So very peaceful. Far from the madding crowd. Great seafood restaurants. Clean and quiet beach. Friendly. Feels like an undiscovered island. A hidden gem. If you are seeking isolation from noise and chaos, this is perfect. Lots of cats and dogs roaming about if this is your thing. Calm and beautiful.

Nice little town with lots of good restaurants on the seaside. Breakfast only available in the two hotels. Small supermarkets for shopping. The sea and the beach were not the best, the beach was not cleaned up regularly (dog fouling). Amenities (showers, staircases, lamp posts etc) could be renewed.

The town is very sweet and peaceful but not far from the motorway for easy access! Many very nice taverns on the seafront. There is a supermarket on the beach road and other close by within a 5-minute walk and on Fridays there is an outside food market with fresh fish, vegetables and fruit, also cheeses and some clothes and shoes are on sale. The beach is nice with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, offered by the many beach cafes, you by 2 coffees, which includes 2 small bottles of water (€3,50 for each coffee including the water) and the beds and umbrellas are free. Many other nice bigger beaches within a 3 to maximal 10 Min drive, all highly recommended!

Close to supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, plenty of room(s), functional (all you need) kitchen plus dining room. Nice shallow water, fine sand in a 5 min drive to Bora Bora beach. It was a breakthrough for us to find fine sand in Greece so we had a good time at the beach. Also beach was not crowded, at 8-9 in the morning it was just us and 3-4 persons on the whole beach. By noon there would be more people but also did not a sense of crowdness which is something we liked.

A lovely country house which provides everything necessary for short or long stay. Spacious rooms and gorgeous veranda. A little playground for kids and convenient parking area. The hosts communicated all necessary details promptly and checking in was very easy. There is a beach 10min away on foot (Agiannis). For eating we visited the few places in Makrygialos next to the beach there. We wished that we could stay longer in Theros house!

There were some problems during my stay,one of them was bad internet. The manager and the lady tried their best to help me. They were really helpfull and explained a lot about the situation. They were open just some months and told me they were going to improve the hotel step by step. Both really nice people.

I was surprised how clean was hotel since it is just a 2* hotel. The view from the room is beautiful. It is close to the highway so it is a good choice if you wanna visit Thessaloniki and you wanna have a cheap room.
