Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and...

Worth seeing for some nice beaches or coves around, and going to some nice restaurants. It doesn't seem to retain the old character the way it probably used to, and yet it doesn't offer the vibrancy and / or cultural dynamism that are typical of many other centres on the island (Mytilene, Sigri, Molyvos). It is a bit of a sleepy place, stripped of the working class identity it must have had, and currently seemingly attempting to attract a new wave of tourism that is in a more extractive and shallow mode. It has a lot of potential though, and hope it finds itself and its unique quality again.

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center...

This is a wonderful hotel located right outside the center of Plomari. It's about a 10 min walk to the main area. Hermes, the host, is incredibly friendly and looking out for each guest's needs. The views from each room are incredible and the rooms are spacious, clean, and lovely. There is a small beach right next to the hotel that is semi-private. I was incredibly pleased with Frini Studios and recommend it highly.

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional...

Plomari is picturesque and retains the traditional architecture of the Aegean. It suits especially tourists that prefer less noisy holidays, nice food at seafront taverns and endless amphitheatric views to the sea. It can also serve as a base for various excursions to seaside and mountain villages and spots.

This is the second time in Sapphio Plomari but this time with more people. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean, all tools are available and in working condition, and the location is excellent. Close to restaurants, the beach is 1 minute just across the road, several markets around and the scene of the sea and lovely white-blue Orthodox church right in front of the room is just so beautiful, calming and so Greek. The owners are lovely.

The hosts are great, very helpful couple. The hotel is very close to the beach and city center, it's in a beautiful small town. And the sea is amazing, we didn't want to leave the beach all day, it wasn't crowded. The room was clean, but the furnitures were a little old. The only downside of our stay is that the room was downstairs, it has a small garden view. I was expecting a room with a balcony.

After a last minute decision to head to another area in Lesvos we booked Katerina’s apartment just outside of Plomari, we were so glad we did. The location was great, easy walking distance to beach and mini marts. A great spot to stay when exploring this part of the island. The room was clean and comfortable and had an amazing view. Would definitely be back!

Very tiny place with a lovely garden. It's quiet, green, in the middle of a valley up on the hill of Plomari. Not enough space to spend time inside but perfect if you want to relax in the garden at night (noon is hot in summer). But...
