Skiathos is was one of the most beautiful places I have visited. We have already looked at going again next year. The island is easy to get around, there are an abundance of restaurant's and bars. The bus's are so easy and cheap to use, so getting to the beaches and around is so easy. Hiring a quad is a must.Guest review byLouise - 10.0

Vibrant town full of bars and restaurants in tight , usually traffic free streets. Most of the traffic is mopeds, as many of the streets have steps from when it used to be donkey traffic. Food is not cheap, probably slightly dearer than the Uk, but there are some excellent restaurants that are only a touch dearer than the not so good. You just have to find them! Hire car is not required, as there is an excellent bus service, right from the airport. Max 3€ per trip The town is on a hill going up from the port, so expect to do some walking up steps if you want to see all of the town. No loud music that we came across which was good. very pretty town great harbour plenty of boats restaurants everywhere never had a bad meal plenty of bars around harbour and a few tucked away in the side streets which are the best beware the day trips to skopelos can get very packed skiathos has many great beaches which can be reached by bus all within 40 minutes but these also can get packed out music wise the boats and harbour bars play far too much abba/mama mia music but i suppose thats what made the island famousGuest review bymichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

So much to see and do. Boat trips , bars, restaurants, shops, ferries etc. One bus stop from airport at 3 euros cost! One of the Perfect Greek Island Getaways Skiathos is an island that combines beautiful beaches, vibrant nightlife, and authentic Greek charm. The island is very easy to explore by car or scooter, and parking is generally convenient. Beaches like Koukounaries and Banana Beach are quite busy, although the water is crystal clear and the sand golden. For those who prefer peace and quiet, there are also hidden gems such as Mandraki and Elias Beach, which I highly recommend for a more relaxing experience away from the crowds.
