Wow… what a revelation. It was modern, clean and the staff, including the Manager Panos couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a memorable stay! We highly recommend eating in as the food (both Breakfast and Dinner) were outstanding!

What a lovely find! We stayed for a week, the room was very clean & comfortable, lovely sea view. Plenty of storage. Fridge & kettle in the room, so nice to be able to sit on the balcony with a coffee after a day at the beach, and also have chilled beers to hand! The location was excellent, just a 5 minute stroll to the square or the beach. Great wifi, decent air con (needed). Excellent value for money would definitely recommend!

Here’s a natural, conversational English version: ⸻ One of the best vacations we’ve had in the past few years — thanks to a beautiful new, spotless hotel, incredibly friendly staff, and the peaceful little town of Georgioupolis in Crete. The hotel sits right on a beach with super clean water — there’s literally a mountain spring flowing into the sea. The beach is well taken care of and everything is spotless. The staff went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible — we’re so grateful to them for that! Our room was stylish, cozy, and had views of both the mountains and the sea. It was cleaned daily, and we got fresh water every day too. We had breakfast and dinner included — the buffet always had plenty of options, and Cretan food is delicious! We didn’t even use the pool because the sea was just perfect. We also rented a car and explored a bit of Crete. It’s definitely a place you want to come back to — and recommend to all your friends💖

A really fantastic experience at Mare Village. Our first time to this hotel and we were hugely impressed. Very nice location on the sea The facility is modern and very nice. The food was good and different options every day. The pools are super clean.

It's a lovely resort.

It's a lovely resort. Visited many times but never stayed before. Plenty of shops and bars but not enough tavernas! A lot of hotels have been built over the past few years ensuring more tourists but it was difficult finding a table in a taverna on an evening and we visited in September so I would say it's impossible in the height of the season. If you like the beach then Kalivaki Beach is a must for you. All sand and no pebbles ! The surrounding area is very scenic & can recommend going on one of the train rides through the local villages. An excellent day out!

It's a small town with some restaurants which are really good. It is more of a tourist village than a local village. However, the food is good, there are supermarkets and souvenir boutique. Additionally, there are some activities to do, and there is a beach. We went there to take our breakfast and sometimes our dinner, but we were more often in other places.

Beautiful village near the beach, with lots of places to visit and have breakfast , dinner, go shopping and so on. We visit Georgioupolis every year and always have a great time. It is not too crowded and you can always find things to do like go for a boat trip.

Its fairly barren around the hotel. No other hotels. A lovely beach bar 50 m from the Oros Hotel. Apart from that you'd have to get a taxi to anywhere else. The views are stunning though over the hills and sea and the sunsets are fab. Wild goats making a nuisance of themselves, eating the hotels planting. There is a main road between the hotel and the beach but there is a tunnel under the road. It's not a big deal though. We didn't leave the hotel though other than the cockail beach bar.

This is one of those places that is so full of tourists it doesn't feel like any greeks live here or visit. Avoid at all costs unless being surrounded by loud drunk people is your idea of a good time

Small town with lots of accommodation of varying types and...

Small town with lots of accommodation of varying types and prices, lots of tavernas and shops. Several supermarkets. Public bus service 10 minutes walk on the New National Road. Town beach occupied by the Corissa hotel and a local beach snack bar. beach stretches for miles to the east of town with much wider beaches and several excellent tavernas such as Margaritari which is about 8km from town. Beds here are free and the food is excellent.

The staff of the hotel is very friendly, the hotel is nice, its buildings are shattered on a very nice green space. The beach is good, the entrance in the water also very nice. Hotel room was alright, not very new, but also not old. Everything was functional. We booked a family room which had also an intermediate door. Staff was very helpful when needed. There were a lot of tourists, but most of them were German, so it was quiet and peaceful altogether.

Highly recommend this family run hotel and restaurant just off the town square in Georgioupolis. The room and bathroom were more than adequate for our needs together with a small outside balcony. The room was serviced everyday except on Sunday. Just along the corridor was a large shared balcony which we also made use of of. Sophia and her mother were there to greet you at breakfast and very friendly. The food in their family restaurant was excellent.

Very pleasant host :) The location is right by the beach and next door there is also a restaurant owned by the same family, where we could also enjoy breakfast (which was included in the price) and we also went for lunch. The hotel room has enough space and the bathroom-toilet has all the necessary equipment.
