Wonderfully helpful owner was so easy to communicate with even before we booked. He went out of his way to ensure our stay went smoothly. I cannot stress how very welcoming this place was. When I asked about wifi for an online interview I had, they brought a router to our room to speed things up. Beds were very comfy with great mattresses and linen. Lovely, clean and spacious room with desk and chair. Also a sofa in the room. Beautifully quiet away from town and off the main road. Well maintained gardens with lots of orchids. There was a share outdoor covered patio area with water filter, couches, microwave.

I had a lovely stay here! The staff were very friendly and accommodating - even offering a free laundry service and giving me a bottle of water for my long bus journey when I left. The food in the restaurant was also tasty and a good price. Thank you for a great stay!

This apartment is amazing. You have a full kitchen, the bedroom is super spacious. The bathroom has everything one needs. The location is also good. As if all those points aren't already good enough the hosts are extremely kind and hospitable. They helped us with everything. They are one of the kindest people we've met in Guatemala and if we're ever back in Coban we'll make sure to stay with them again!

Coban is a relay station to reach other places in Guatemala...

Coban is a relay station to reach other places in Guatemala and as such, there is not a lot going on inside the city itself. I highly recommend taking half a day to visit Las Victorias National Park, which is inside the city limits. A former plantation, the park is replete with the flora & fauna of central Guatemala and has an amazing history! I went by myself on a Sunday morning (since I could not locate an organized tour) and every person I encountered on the trails stopped to chat and offer additional local knowledge.

COBAN is a very beautiful town and there is an Ancient...

COBAN is a very beautiful town and there is an Ancient Cathedral in front of the Central Park. There's a local market where you can find handwoven typical clothing and other handcrafted products made by the natives. There are good restaurants also, like HDR (Hacienda Don Rafa), El PE-NASCAL, where you can order dishes of Mayan origins, like KACK-IK for example. There are places of extreme beauty near Coban with plenty of very low price transportation. You can visit the Central Market located only 6 minutes on the outskirts of Coban. SO, TREAT YOURSELF BY VISITING COBAN!!!

The staff and the owner of the hotel were extremely welcoming and the grounds were EXCEPTIONALLY beautiful. Looks, however, don't count for anything when you've been traveling for days and just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep! The first room I was assigned was full of the smell of mold & mildew and I had to ask to be moved, which was accommodated immediately. I appreciated the HOT water in the shower. I also really appreciated the location--I could walk to everything in Coban except the bus station.

What a fab little hostel in Coban. Lovely and friendly staff (who spoke nice and slow Spanish especially for us!) Helped us organise a shuttle to Antigua and a trip to the very excellent coffee plantation at Chicoj. Our room was comfortable and a good temperature, hot water in the shower and we could use the kitchen to make a coffee in the morning.

Friendly staff, well located and decent price. The woman who welcomed me was very kind and helpful and she advised me the best way to get to Lanquin. I arrived from Guatemala city and walked about 15 minutes to this place. Lots of restaurants nearby
