Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing.

Rio Dulce is a great spot to vacation, it's very relaxing. If you want more night life...then probably best to stay in Livingston. If you are ever in Livingston, the best Tapado was at a small restaurant Restaurante Gabby!! Unforgettable!! El Viajero didn't come close in flavor, maybe we just went on a bad day. Must see Siete Altares, beautiful waterfalls and blue turquoise water. We never felt unsafe, it's a very tranquil place in Rio Dulce.

If you travel solo you can't do anything as it's just for...

If you travel solo you can't do anything as it's just for groups else yours are in excess of £250! It's not safe to hike to seven altars alone (I was told by locals) so it's just very far for no reason. The bus from GC was supposed to be 5 hours but it was 11!

Rio Dulce is a beautiful and amazing destination, ideal for relaxation and enjoying a wide range of water activities. It also offers a variety of excellent restaurants, and the people are incredibly friendly.

I really wanted to like Rio Dulce.

I really wanted to like Rio Dulce. It turned out to be only a hub for boat and bus travel for me. Having spent two months in Guatemala by the time I got there, I was not surprised by the poverty or conditions. That said, I didn’t find much other than the castle to be places I wanted to see more of. It was very hot and humid in early July.

Hotelito Perdido lies in the middle of the mangroves of Rio Dulce, that is what makes it special. You get the amenities that you would expect from any other hostel plus the quiet that comes with that location. Theres enough activities to fill at least 5 days, and if that is not enough for you, you can spend the same amount of time just sampling the amazing menu and enjoying Rio Dulce.

I really loved this place! It is so quite! The owner is really helpful, they met me from the city really fast and I came to hotel earlier that I expected. The room was also cozy, I absolutely can recommend this charming place!

The staff is very helpful and kind. Freddy's service was very good. The rooms are very comfortable and the pool area is great for relaxing. The hotel looks like a paradise. We could hear the howler monkeys, that was very cool.
