A beautiful hotel perched above the old town of Vrbnik near the sea—it could not have been more well situated, with just a 5 min walk into the old town and within a short driving distance of all the other little towns on Krk. Parking at the hotel was easy. Our room was spacious yet cozy, with breathtaking sea and city views from our private balcony. There is a relaxing private pool behind the hotel, with plenty of nice loungers and umbrellas, plus a poolside bar. Service is so charming and friendly (plus the beach is also just a short walk from the hotel. It’s not a touristy as other Krk beaches, and there is a bar and loungers there too. Our bed was so comfortable. The AC in our room was great—such a necessity for comfortable travel accommodations in Croatia, but not always guaranteed. The bathroom in our room was also spacious and modern. Excellent shower. We enjoyed the expansive and tasty breakfast each morning, with lots of ala carte goodies in addition to eggs and espresso drinks available by order. I loved the cappuccino! For dinner, we enjoyed Pizzeria Gospoja very much, and drank Zhlatina, a white wine that is only produced in the region, at pretty much every meal. In short, we liked everything about our stay at Hotel Verbenicum and we are already planning to return next year!
