The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone. Please note the cobbled streets can be a little slippery so fancy high heeled shoes are a No-No! The local people are kind and friendly and everyone is catered for. Great place with old narrow streets.
Great place with old narrow streets. We enjoyed them during the first day, the second day we took a half day boat (Red Island, Lin Fjord, Pirates Cave, Music, wine, delicious fish) and right after we left the boat, we rent electric scooters to go through the entire Punta Corrente and the next 10km. forests and beaches (two hours rent was enough). Rovinj is a beautiful city where walking around is a true pleasure. There is so much to see, and I highly recommend it. The city is exceptionally clean, with friendly people, and hospitality deserves every praise. Definitely a place to visit—you won’t regret it. The restaurants are affordable and the food is wonderful. In every restaurant we visited, the staff was very kind and welcoming. Restaurants were v good particularly El Bugador, Puntulina and Rio. Not the cheapest but the quality for what you paid was excellent. Some lovely bars to watch the incredible sunsets too. The hotel is an intimate little boutique hotel (9 rooms) in a lovely old Rovinj building in the heart of the old town (but tucked down an alley quietly back from a small bustling square). It has a terrace/balcony (overlooking the harbour/sea), which you can sit out on, which is a big bonus too in the hot weather.
