we travel a lot, and there is wonderful experiences and less desired, but this was one of the special ones! - hosts are so involved, caring and just great persons - premises are clean and equiped with all you need, and more - surroundings call you to enjoy! everything there is most precious! we got superb dinner - lamb under the bell and grilled chicken (homemade by host in special built ovens, prepared for 3 hours!!!), and pancakes and baked zucchini as bonus! we got to feed deers, they are just lovely, and cats got friendly on second day, and morning rooster gave the most wellcoming morning vibe! I wish nothing but sucsess and hapiness to our superb hosts, and for them to keep doing what they started - you are born for it!

The real world Rivendell (from the Lord of the rings). Thousands of small waterfalls between the houses. Very good restaurants serving locally grown trouts. Possibility of swimming in the river at the bottom of the chain of waterfalls. Plitvice is only 30 mins.

A pear in the Balkans- I was ignorant this kind of landscape was available in Croatia. Reminded me of being in Switzerland and Germany but a very low-key vibe. The falls, the river, the national park....you haven't seen anything like it

We have arrived in the afternoon and took a walk to the old...

We have arrived in the afternoon and took a walk to the old city. It is impacted by time, nobody is cleaning up around the old city, just walls, no access to see from the other side. Next was city beach, river Korana. I prefer to see below when I swim, this is not the case with river Korana, however, seeing all other swimmers gave me courage. Afterwards we went for a waterfall walk. Paid family ticket, saved 1 EUR ;) At the end of waterfall walk wanted to check the restaurant, but it was very busy, reservations required. Next day we woke up early and at 6.30 am already enjoyed first morning coffee in the near coffee bar. No need to Google for coffee bars, they are at "every corner". Next we went in the direction of the Old town but took Jelvik fitness train. It was very interesting and fun. Not all exercises possible due to limited access (long and big grass), but the storyline is beautiful. Came to the beach from the other side (made a full circle). It was so nice and quiet, few people, very kind, talked to locals for a while, took another swim, ate fruits, returned to the apartment, took our stuff and hit the road again.

An extremely beautiful little town filled with water falls...

An extremely beautiful little town filled with water falls and clean river side for a picnic and a dip, scenic bars and restuarants and very close to Plitvice national park. I recommend staying in here while visiting the park.

It is a truly unique and charming town.

It is a truly unique and charming town. Rastoke with the waterfalls everywhere, flowing right from underneath of some houses is as wild as it gets. Very friendly people, great restaurants and enough of shops for all of your daily basic needs.

Lovely place, very relaxing and in the middle of nature.

Lovely place, very relaxing and in the middle of nature. We loved it. The waterfalls in the city are less spectacular than in the nearby park of Plitvice but it is nonetheless worth spending some time enjoying them. We would also recommend restaurant Petro, which is excellent.

Very clean, well located apartment suitable for families and groups of friends. Rastoke is a charming old town worth visiting and Amore apartment will make your visit even more delightful. Hosts are great, well prepared to overcome language barriers. Excellent choice! We are very happy!

Nena and her family were very welcoming and friendly. The apartment was immaculate, very spacious and bright, with great views over Rastoke and Slunj from the balcony. The swimming area at the river was great bonus and we ate at the pizza restaurant in Rastoke twice, which was superb.

Very convenient location combining quick access to Slunj and Rastoke and at the same time to Plivtice lake. Room is spacious for a family of 4 and last but not least is the great hospitality received from the house owner!!!!
