I don't normally write many reviews, but with accommodation like Pondok KulKul, it's really worth leaving a review. We have never stayed in such a family-run accommodation where you don't feel like just another guest or a number, but are warmly welcomed by everyone and all your needs are catered for. The staff are always available and give helpful tips on possible activities, good restaurants and much more. We were always happy to return to the accommodation because it felt like home. The rooms are always clean, the breakfast is prepared with love and the view (especially in the evening) is phenomenal! So if you are planning to come to Labuan Bajo, we would definitely recommend staying at the Pondok KulKul, because you can expect hospitality and a warm atmosphere like you rarely find here! We booked a stay for 3 nights together with a fully planned 4-day trip trough the komodo national park. Jhojo did a great job and showed us the all the beautys of the national park. We had a provate boat, with our own captain, Firman and his son. We saw a lot of dragons, visited beautiful snorkelling places. Jhojo guided us also to see turtles and lovley corals! We slept at his wifes brothers house and had an amazing all inclusive package of delightful indonesian cuisine. Though you cant find luxus on this island, everybody is so nice and respectful, like the whole village is one big family (together with dragons in the garden). Big thanks to Jhojo ans his Family for this amazing experience, we can absolutely recommend this to everyone. See you next time Jhojo! 🥰

Jecki and his family were amazing hosts. It’s truly a unique experience staying on Komodo island with them and Jecki taking you on his boat around the famous sites instead of paying for a 3 day boat trip, you are contributing to a well deserved family. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Jacki’s wife is a great cook!

It was very amazing place. We lived in the middle of village with very interesting people. There are 2000 people living there and everyone knows each other. They are one big family. Jhuna was taken well with us, he was very polite and helpful. The acvomodation was beautiful and clean a with excellent food. We met 14 Komodská dragons. Very impressive animals. Likewise, Manta in the sea. The trips were excellently organized, the ship's crew behaved professionally and led the ship safely even in bad weather. If you want to get to know Komo do up, this is the best choice!

We spent 4 unforgettable days in this homestay. The location is excellent and staying there is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and the people of the town. The food is delicious and plentiful. Jahiddi organized a full 4-day tour for us with very diverse activities: trekking, snorkeling with turtles, mantas..., visits to dragons, etc., including a private trip from Labuan Bajo to Komodo Island. We recommend it 100%, as you will live a very complete experience!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay. The family who hosted us was very kind and helped arrange a local boat to take us to different beaches and snorkeling spots that were absolutely gorgeous (like manta point and pink beach). The host is a ranger at Komodo National Park and gave us a wonderful tour. It was very special to stay in the Muslim village on the sea and have a glimpse of life there. Everyone was very friendly and warm.

meet at the property, shown around and all facilities explained. Was lovely and peaceful. Host was terrific at assisting in arranging transport, recommending restaurants, and things to do. Property was lovely and quiet, in residential area. Really having own transport would be handy but taxis were reliable and reasonable prices. Would highly recommend for family or couples travelling together. Had 2 double bedrooms with ensuites, large kitchen and living area, and the pool was beautiful.

Fairly expensive, not as developed, if you’re there for a boat tour, just get in and get out, not much to do there you can’t do in Bali or Lombok much cheaper. Can’t say enough about Sudamala Resort, reasonably priced if you book in advance and 5 star all the way.
