Highly recommended if you’re wanting to stay somewhere in the south and go snorkeling. Really quiet and avoid the crowds Really nice villa with incredible sunrise, restaurant on site and beautiful pool surrounded by nature. The staff are so so friendly and helpful and organised us a day out visiting a few islands snorkelling. Really well priced and the boat literally picked us up from the front of our villa. Gilli Asahan is nearby which you can also stay on and it’s just as beautiful as Gilli T Also 10km from deserts so great as a stayover for surfers

this is perfect for people wanting to get away from it all. Jhon and his wife are a young couple building their first accommodation on family land and they have done a great job of the building. They are friendly and caring hosts and act quickly if anything needs sorting. Desert Point, thr famous surf break is just over thr hill and amazing to watch when the swell comes up and I connected with dive companies for both Gili Asahan and Blongas. There’s an interesting fishing village with warungs within walking distance. The road is rocky coming in and depending on your mindset, can be quite fun, You are away from it all here.

The Blue Mathis was the perfect choice - located on a small island, the resort featured comfortable villas with scenic views, delicious food, relaxing boat trips to the Gilis in the vicinity and an overall welcoming and polite crew. This place is so lovely and so secluded. It took a long journey to reach here but it was worth it. Astam their staff are so friendly and helpful. We requested them to bring us around with motorbike with a fee and they were great! My kids love the ride. Beach is nice but reef is dead and do get quite a lot of rubbish. Regardless it was nice and loved the free kayaking and calm sea.
