You can't to better! Very nice, quiet place with a fantastic lakeview, very clean and well equipped bungalows, comfy bed with good smelling pillows and blankets, delicious food and a very very friendly and welcoming family! I spent a great time there and would highly recommend this little homestay with only 3 bungalows and a little restaurant. Thanks to Nabilla and here parents!!!

As a backpacker I stayed here in 1993 and - after more than 30 years - returning to Beach Guesthouse felt like stepping back into the good old nineties. Same beautiful spot right at the lake, same amiable family that runs the place and still the same positive vibe. It was great to be back here. The rooms are also still very basic, so if you're looking for luxury, this isn't a hotel for you. However, if you are looking for warm hospitality and a relaxing atmosphere in an idyllic setting, then this might be the place you are dreaming of. The adjacent Bagoes Café 'n' Resto serves delicious food, delicious juices and cold beers. And as you gaze across the calm waters of Lake Maninjau, you realize that life isn't so bad after all... Staff is super friendly and can help to arrange your onward transport. Motorbikes and bicycles are for rent if you want to go around the lake. Good to know that the lake is a popular getaway for local tourists and day trippers at weekends, so it can get a bit more crowdy (and noisy) in the guesthouse. During the week you probably have the place almost to yourself and it’s just peace and harmony.
