Amazing staff, incredible location, stunning rooms. There is a sense of "we care about you and your stay" in every aspect of Umadewi. The price may initially seem expensive on Indonesian standards but you get what you pay for and Umadewi does not disappoint on any level. LOVED IT!!! Off the beaten track. A beautiful place to come & lose yourself. Picturesque views, tranquility, excellent service. Large, most comfortable beds in spacious rooms with large fully equipped bathrooms... Were here during a soft opening, as work is still on going, but it hasn't disturbed our stay. Our stay was amazing! The room was new and super clean! The bathroom was clean as well! Everyday they were taking care of our room, we had coffee, tea and breakfast! The owner is super kind and helpful, he helped us also rent a moto and guided us where to rent surfboards! We stayed in many rooms around Bali and Lombok but we can say that this was by far the best experience we had! Also next to the rooms they have a restaurant which is amazing, all the people working there are so kind and the food is top!!! We stayed there 3 nights and we were eating there all the time!

This part of Bali is reminiscent of the Bali that existed...

This part of Bali is reminiscent of the Bali that existed around Kuta 42 years ago. Rice paddies, beach, mountains…back to nature. It’s a peaceful part of Bali and we hope it stays that way as long as possible. We only stayed one night but would love to come back with family. Some of the sights around Bali are easier to access from here. Definitely recommend Puri Dajuma Eco Resort to explore this part of Bali and some of the rest of it.

Chilled mostly, bunches of Canggu ? surfer kooks in the morning in surf. Locals/expats are great, great little community you can wrap your head around as a Lombok expat. Less choices is sometimes better, easy to get info and shared knowledge. Gilmanuk road is not for the beginners...nor is the big surf.

If you are wanting excitement, nightlife and a lot of shops...

If you are wanting excitement, nightlife and a lot of shops and bars then this is not the place for you. It does give you access to north Bali - but there is still a lot of travelling involved - however if someone who knows the roads is driving then it is enjoyable and gives you the opportunity to take more notice of the scenery. We loved staying in the Kelapa Retreat and Spa and we used the restaurant there for the whole of our stay. The beach is lovely. It is long and suitable for surfing and swimming and walking along

If you're looking to get away from the crowds, look no...

If you're looking to get away from the crowds, look no further. We walked for an hour along the beach and met just a handful of people. Get here before they finish the motorway as I'm sure it won't be the same! The sea is a little bit rough, but the beach is amazing for walking.

The beaches here are relatively remote and crowd free.

The beaches here are relatively remote and crowd free. The surf can be challenging for general swimming, as can the rocks but it has a lovely vibe and the locals gather to socialise on the beach too, which adds to its interest as a place to visit. Authentic Bali! Pulukan Town is quote ordinary but nearby Medewi has a small strip of surf shops and good restaurants.

Right at the end of beach road so no traffic in the vicinity. Comfortable bed in quaint hut. My daughter could escape my snoring in the mezzanine bed. Owners/hosts are absolutely fantastic. Breakfasts were better than you will get in many of the upmarket hotels. Have to repeat others comments about Rafi's homemade bread that came with breakfast - we took a loaf onward with our travels.

The location of the hotel is on the one hand top, right on the beach. We had a Deluxe Room with a view of the pool. Room was very nice, spacious and clean. Nice bathroom and nice view. The restaurant was very good! There are few restaurants nearby, so we had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel, and that was very nice. Team/staff was very nice.

Amazing hotel amazing stay. The hotel staff were so welcoming and attentive. The food was great and wide variety of choice of the menu. Room was immaculate and staff cleaned daily.
