This was probably one of my favorite places to stay in Indonesia. The little hut is perfectly located in nature with views of the forest and ricefield. The bungalows is equipped with everything you need and very comfortable. The terrace was probably my favorite spot to have breakfast and read at night. It was SPECIAL place!

Wonderful place with wonderful people and the view. I am totally in love with Tetebatu after visiting Rewi Rinjani Homestay. I love everything about the place, the location on the top of the hill with the view to Rinjani and sunset every night. Very clean and well equipped. Cute and cozy. You can go on a hike around rice fields with Gabriel, or explore by yourself. There are many waterfalls in the neighbourhood. There is also an amazing warung next door - Lesehan.

Great value for money to base yourself in the Tete Batu area, very close to waterfalls, rice fields and hiking. Batu, the owner, can give you lot of advice and organise tours with you to discover Tete Batu area. There is also a good restaurant for dinner and breakfast within 5 minutes walking distance. Recommended!

We are a family of three and spent three wonderful nights at Green Orry Inn, staying in two Superior Bungalows. The bungalows were very clean and cozy – we felt at home right away. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared every morning. A real highlight of our stay were the 2 guided tours with Mr. Orry’s brother, who took us through villages, rice fields, lush landscapes, and even showed us the famous black monkeys. Thanks to him, we gained deep and authentic insights into the local culture and life – truly an unforgettable experience! He is a very special person, kind-hearted, knowledgeable, and incredibly generous with his time, just like everyone we met in Tetebatu – all were exceptionally friendly and warm. We are deeply grateful for the honest and heartfelt hospitality we received. It's something rare and precious these days. A lovely family runs it and the warung attached to the stay has authentic Lombok food. I booked my rice terrace walk and there’s a beautiful waterfall close to the stay (Durian Waterfall) , and booked my Waterfall visit with a guide here who took me to two other Secret waterfalls which was really worth it :) Coming to my cottage, it opens into a balcony with the view of Mt. Rinjani. You can see the mountains gleam during sunrise. :)

The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so...

The local family who manage Green Haven Homestay are so welcoming and friendly. They will do almost anything to cater for travellers, for example I am 68 and wouldn’t have been able to do the 6 km walking tour up and down hills and uneven surfaces so they organised a motorbike tour which was great. The tour of the villages was also good and very interesting and informative to see the local market, pottery being made, textile weaving and bamboo weaving. There was a good variety of food and the family dinner was wonderful, so much delicious local food. The accommodation was suitable in a peaceful environment. I really enjoyed my stay.

Friendly people but the huts a very run down and filthy. The bed was crawling with bugs. The outdoor bathroom sink broke the first time we used it. The meals were delayed by hours at times. I went very open minded but it was just too much. The area is stunning but if I had to do it over again, I would pay more and stay somewhere else.

Tetebatu is still a gem!

Tetebatu is still a gem! Laced with spring-fed streams emanating from the slopes of the Rinjani and blessed with rich volcanic soil, Tetebatu is a Sasak breadbasket. The surrounding country is quilted with tobacco and rice fields, fruit orchards and cow pastures that fade into remnant monkey forest gushing with waterfalls. Dark nights come saturated with sound courtesy of a frog orchestra accompanied by countless gurgling brooks.

A family operation.

A family operation. Everyone was very friendly and outgoing. Whenever I was walking in the village if I ran into hotel staff they would offer a ride on the moto. They also arrange transport, tours, including treks on Mt. Rinjani. Plan ahead.
