FAQs about hotels in Dublin

Great History, Greenery and Pubs

Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. A lot has changed from those Viking days, and Dublin is now famous for its literary history and the most green-spaces of any other European capital, making Dublin a real Irish gem.

Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

Dublin is home to many important literary figures including Oscar Wilde, William Yeats, Samuel Beckett and George Bernard Shaw. As the famous location of James Joyce’s “Ulysses”, the city offers tours tracing the protagonist’s footsteps.

Being one of the most youthful European cities, Dublin has a vibrant nightlife scene with the popular Temple Bar area and plenty of bars and pubs, which invite you to stay out until the wee hours of the morning.

The Dublin Airport is the gateway to your Irish holiday, so whether you’re looking for a stylish hotel, a self-catering apartment or a trendy hostel, Booking.com has a perfect deal for your Dublin trip.

Dublin is a beautiful city with a lot of things to do and also to have fun. It is full of historical places, churches, museums , pubs and especially there is Guinness. It is impossible to see them all but we chose some of them due to the bad weather. It was cold and windy.

Dublin is great. Loads of museums, history and culture, eg. Dublin Castle, Glasnevin Cemetery tour, Garda Museum and St. Patrick's cathedral. Templebar very pricey so go to Stonybatter or the Liberties instead.

Not one dublin person in Dublin, save for the homeless drug addicts . Even the immigrants were lamenting the absence of real dubs in the pubs. Overall, bad experience, would never visit again, if I had a choice.

Dublin was central to everything we wanted to go visit.

Dublin was central to everything we wanted to go visit. We especially liked Giants Causeway and the Titanic museum in Belfast. The Cliffs of Mohrer and Trinity College, with The Book of Kells and The Long Hall were great things to see!

What a place to visit, so much to see and organise so that you make the best of your allocated time. In the two days, we managed Dublin Castle, Book of Kells, an Irish Entertainment night, Ireland v Japan in the Rugby and the EPIC centre.

I had a wonderful stay at Hampton by Hilton in Dublin! Everything was perfect – the staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything I could ask for. The location is also great, just a short walk from the city centre, which made it super easy to explore Dublin. Overall, I can only recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city. Great service, clean rooms, and a very welcoming atmosphere, I’ll definitely stay here again!

Great stay in a cosy district. Clean hotel, fancy terrace on rooftop and much more. You can cook in big shared kitchens if yours in the apartment is too small for you. You can also enjoy the time in a living room located on each floor. Very kind and communicative personnel, and a good, cheap connection to city centre. Nothing more is required. I recommend this place for everyone visiting Dublin.

The hotel is lovely, clean, modern and close to the city center in Dublin. I needed an overnight to connect to traveling elsewhere in Ireland, so the location was perfect for me. The staff are super friendly and accommodating.
