The cabin was in a beautifully remote spot, off the grid that allowed for zero distractions. The bed was perfect, not only the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in but was fitted with an array of blankets that ensured that you didn’t want for more. The view was gorgeous and we visited Galbally village that held everything we needed for our stay. The board games provided were a godsend on a rainy night in. Katie’s Cottage is a very cozy and comfortable house in the countryside, equipped with everything you need for a few days’ holiday. You’ll find a kitchen with a good gas stove and all you need for real cooking. On a colder day, the solid fuel (wood) stove in the living room gives some very pleasant additional warmth. Brian is a very kind and helpful host, and he has prepared some bits and pieces of information that are not only really helpful to understand where you are and what to do, but are really personal in character. We liked to follow some of this advice, felt quite at home and would have liked to stay for some more days …
