The host Seán was simply the best! Such a charming and funny cheeky lad. We only stayed for two nights but Seán did everything do make our stay unforgettable. He lovingly prepared our breakfast, gave us advice for which stops to use with the DART and even drove us 4 with his car to the train station so we don't have to walk all the way. While breakfast he entertained us with his storys about his family and connections to Germany. I could have listen to his storys for hours. Our room had 4 beds and everything we needed. It was just all we needed.

We come from Minnesota, USA to Howth almost yearly to attend a Phil Lynott Birthday celebration at the Bloody Stream. This small town feels like home to me. The people, market and food make Howth a place to put on your bucket list.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location is great. Everything within 10 mins walk and the bus stop right out the front, that takes you into Dublin cbd. The apartment was fully equipped with quality fittings, equipment, bedding and bath towels. It was roomy, warm and comfortable. The apartment was over a cafe restaurant that served delicious breakfast, brunch, lunch & dinner, not to mention excellent coffee. The host was very friendly and helpful, but so was every single cafe staff member. Carl had a lovely helpful team downstairs.

I loved this little coastal town!

I loved this little coastal town! Walk out to the lighthouse and walk the cliff walk. Have tea at the Dog House! Check out Abby Tavern...I ate there twice and stayed late for the local Irish music. It's a walkable town with shops and restaurants. But also nice to just sit and take it all in!

Howth is the place to stay when visiting Dublin.

Howth is the place to stay when visiting Dublin. Just 30 minutes by train away from he city centre, it is a small but beautiful town on a penninsula surrounded with cliffs and seagull collonies. Many great pubs and restuarants, fantastic views and, contrary to Dublin - the calm and peaceful atmosphere where you can really relax.

I did not know what to expect as we booked last minute to go to a concert in Malahide. Howth is a beautiful seaside town with lots on offer (restaurants, bars, cafes etc...) We hope to return in the near future to spend more time there. Great for couples & families. A bit hilly in places so you need to have good mobility if you want to explore or stay slightly out of town. I visited a beautiful cove in the morning time where there were lots of swimmers in the sea & it was so peaceful...great way to start the day.

Location: This was the first time we were setting foot on...

Location: This was the first time we were setting foot on Irish soil. King Sitric in Howth was the first place we headed to from Dublin Airport. No regrets! So much to see and do in Howth. Charming views in every direction. So much to take in. Transport: A short taxi ride or walk to the train station. Buses stop less than 100m from the hotel. I think one even passes right in front of the hotel. People: The Irish are the best. Everywhere, they seem to be so welcoming and genuine. Hotel and Rooms: Interesting history. It should be promoted more. Pleasant and friendly staff. Our room was steps from the ocean. What a lovely welcome to a lovely country. The room had nice little touches. Loved the in-room Nespresso & chocs. Nice hot showers. Food: Amazingly fresh seafood in the restaurant downstairs for dinner (apparently caught by local fisherman in the sea right outside our room) and upstairs for guests' breakfasts; the menu items were well-chosen. Fish is also an option for breakfast! Found it strange though that so little bread is given, as there's so much rich and flavourful sauce to lap up. We even paid for more bread, but again it was just one tiny slice of bread. Maybe it's an Irish thing? Pricing: We found Ireland in general to be very expensive, from hotels to food to shopping.

The room and large ensuite were really lovely. Decor was nice nautical to match the fantastic view out the window which was right on the sea edge, looking out towards Ireland's Eye and Lambay Island with the site of The Tayleur ship tragedy in sight. After a really comfortable sleep, I had a delicious breakfast, freshly made porridge, smoked salmon and eggs with their home made brown bread and all with a view overlooking Howth Harbour, the pier and lighthouse. The owner and staff were very friendly.

Left window open through the night to hear the sea and get fresh sea air. Breakfast of smoked fish was very very good. Waking up to view out to sea was great and got out for a good dawn walk before it got busy. Easy access to Dublin on the Dart
