I liked everything about the hotel. It's in true sense a home away from home. The rooms and the lounges on both the floors are very thoughtfully and tastefully designed. The rooms are so spacious with two comfortable sofas, a working table, a tea table and side tables plus all the lighting. It has three windows from which sunlight comes in from all 3 directions. The bathroom is very clean and also has a bath cubicle. Even after all the furniture you have ample space to move in the room. On every floor there is a sitting lounge with sofas and book shelves and the locally made carpets placed tastefully. It is a place where you will never feel bored and would like to have leisure time in the hotel itself. The room has an ipad and a coffee maker with coffee cartridges, a milk frother, and an electric kettle for all your tea coffee needs. From the room the snow clad mountain peak can be seen throughout the day until late evening. Above all, the staff is extremely polite, cooperative, and soft spoken which is unmatched and found only in the Taj group of hotels. They do everything to make your stay comfortable and make yourself feel as if you are at home. They are always available for your support. It seems they have been trained by someone who has been regular to Taj hotels or may be by a person who has worked in Taj hotels. The hotel staff packed breakfast after checking what we would prefer and provided an oxygen cylinder (free of cost) for our day trip to Pangong. We stayed there for 3 days and I wanted to spend an entire day in the hotel to relax and rejuvenate but didn't have time. I will visit next time just to spend some relaxing time in this hotel. I can keep writing positive things about the hotel endlessly.

This is a good hotel with all necessary facilities. I spent only one night there and was not able to evaluate the breakfast, but all other things were ok. The location is bout ten minutes from the central streets (Market etc). When I came, they allowed me to choose one of the two rooms. The first was on the ground floor and had a view on high mountains, but I chose the second, with a balcony and without such a view. I left the hotel very early in the morning - and there were no problems with that (even though the person responsible for that had to wake up). The territory of the hotel is flowery, clean and green and has several chairs where one can have a rest.

Go very well prepared and it takes atleast 24 to 48 hours to get acclimitized , carry the necessary medicine and check the hotel if they have oxygen cylinders too. Overall a Very beautiful place with honest people and dont miss going to Tibeten Kitchen have dinner.

Excellent place to visit.

Excellent place to visit. Has varied topography,landscapes and terrain. Infrastructure is just amazing. It has rivers,lakes , mountains and dessert. The pangong lake is just out of this world. Nubra valley is worth a visit and also all the monasteries and the palaces.

Less number of public transport facility which depends the traveller to the taxi.Taxi drivers are charging huge amount for tour to Nubra ,Pangong etc.Govt should take initiative to run luxury bus services for tour.

1. Leh itinerary of 7 to 8 days is good for visit most of the places in Ladhak less Kargil. 2. 2/3 day of acclimatization is necessary at Leh. 3. Places of interest are Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Leh Market, Shey, Hemis & Thiskey Monasteries, Hunder sand dunes, Turtuk, Pangong Tso, Khardung La & Chang La Pass. 4. Travelling for 5 to 6 hrs daily. 5. Keep yourself hydrated. 6. Best travel time is May to Jun/ Jul. Aug is hot. By mid sep the passes may close.

Beautiful monasteries and the town is cleaner the other Indian places. The Laddakhi people are honest, quiet, and not pushy with customers. All in all, a breath of fresh air from the filth and madness that characterizes much of the country.

The place is managed by a very kind and lovely couple who lives in the first floor. I think this is the cleanest hostel I have ever been! The rooms are spacious, same for the lockers. I had hot water in the shower, it's very safe and quiet. It's located neat the main market and many restaurants or travel agencies to organise trips in Ladakh. I had a wonderful stay and I will come again, I can only highly recommend :)

This is one of the best places we ever stayed. Anu and the rest of the staff is incredibly warm towards their guests and they really make you feel right at home. The property is old but charming with a nice garden. Rooms are clean, spacious and there is hot water. Arnab helped arrange our entire Ladakh trip and it was well organised. We already miss this place and hope to be back one day.
