Staying here exceeded our expectations! Cleanliness is monitored every day. I was very pleased with the spacious room with three beds, a large bathroom and a wardrobe. A beautiful garden with an outdoor shower deserves special attention! The owners are very good kind people. The hostess cooked incredibly delicious breakfasts and dinners for us, most often everything was not spicy and our children also ate this food. It is very convenient that the owner is a tuk-tuk driver, if you need to go somewhere, you can negotiate with him or rent a moped from him. A 5 minute walk to a beautiful clean beach. We recommend this place to everyone to stay.

Best hosts and accommodation we’ve experienced in Kerala. Suburb food, served on our big terrace (they have a restaurant at the beach but we were in low season so it was closed, but hey, getting served on your own terrace is even better :) Kerala breakfasts but if you prefer European it’s also possible. I’ve had the best dinners there, truly amazing. My husband got sick from eating street food elsewhere, from some shack at the beach, and Augustine came with a few teapots with strong lemon tea and my husband felt better very soon. Wonderful and caring hosts. The room is also very spacious and comfortable, terrace is wonderful with a lovely garden view. And a lovely cat 😃 The beach is only minutes away. We will definitely come back here!

Dear Abad Turtle Beach, thank you for making our stay memorable. You will remain in our hearts. The days in your resort were really a bliss for us. The resort is really wonderful and peaceful, very good location on the beach, it is clean and very well maintained. The rooms are very nice decorated in Kerala style and I have also loved the bathroom with a plant growing inside. Inside the resort, all the time, there are people who are doings thing to maintain the cleanliness and all the vegetation to be green. Also, all the team is really nice and make you feel spoiled. The food is very good and fresh, we have enjoyed sea foods, fish and some other goodies from the area. Very tasty and all the team from the restaurant has treated us very nice. Thank you, Guys! Also, the team from the Reception has helped us to arrange a trip to Kochi and to Munnar and we have traveled with a very kind and super good driver, AlanSojan. Thank you, Sir for your services! Our stay at Mocean Marari was absolutely lovely — just one night, short but sweet! The room was a good size and everything was clean and tidy. The location was great, with a nice garden and the beach only a few steps away. The Kerala breakfast was reasonably priced and definitely worth having. Imran, the host, went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

This homestay is a gem in India. Amazing and really kind people that will do everything for your stay to be perfect. The accomodation is amazing because it has big windows and you can wake up every morning with the sunlight and the view of jungle which is rare in India with a lot of room being without any windows. The beach is also really close, 10 mn walk.

The beach is lovely, the sea warm, and the fishing boats a real picture. Well worth walking south where there is no development and wonderful peace.We ate every day at Ecstacy, a nearby cafe/restaurant which served ace freshly prepared juices and food with many smiles.

It's a beautiful and less crowded beach destination in India. Great people and has some wonderful accommodation from budget to luxury accommodation. Alleppey backwater and beach is just 10 km from Marari.

Very small sleepy village perfect for a remote escape.

Very small sleepy village perfect for a remote escape. Unspoiled beach and nature with friendly inhabitants. A total escape. It is not a tourist spot but a quiet escape. The remoteness means little amenities like restaurants and shops. Come prepared with some snacks and supplies. A large resort hotel and some smaller ones, along with homestay, but little else for the independent traveller

Great area - a little away from the hustle & bustle of other areas so it is quieter. The beach is beautiful, clean & quiet. Easy to get transport to other areas for more activity - close to backwater tours etc. Only limitation is perhaps lack of eating out options within walking area, best to have hotel with restaurant otherwise will need to travel by tuk tuk or taxi.

The resort was a little too far away from the beach and the...

The resort was a little too far away from the beach and the beach had no chairs, shade or umbrellas making it very difficult to stay very long. The surrounding area was not good to stroll around. The massage treatments are a 10 minute tuk tuk ride away and are quite expensive for India £34. We have been paying £15 previously.

I was at much trouble due to the stay at Mararikulam due to booking at Spot On Sb Cruise, Aleppey (There is no such property). So I was to search for another property with the help of some Good Local peoples and by their efforts, I got a place to sleep.

This is a very warm, sweet little homestay-my first time ever staying in one & Im extremely happy with my choice. The food & thoughtfulness was really just very refreshing. The garden was soooo lovely. Cute little kitten & pup pop up occasionally too. My bathroom was spacious & spotless. The hot water was instant. John & his family couldn’t have been better hosts if they tried -just wow! And it’s only about a 7 minute walk from the marari beach. So yeah, perfection 🤌🏽

This is the perfect beach stay! The property is directly in the beach and it’s like having your own little bungalow! The family that run the homestay are wonderful friendly people who go above and beyond. Exceptionally clean, and beautifully kept! Please try the home cooked food made by the lady that owns the property, her cooking is some of the best I’ve eaten in Kerala!!! Everything you need! Don’t hesitate, just book!

The homestay is in a tranquil pretty setting , just steps away from a beautiful pristine beach. I really enjoyed having my breakfast on the veranda and the chef is superb, really authentic tasty Keralan food. The host, Jefin is one of a kind, so thoughtful and helpful. He helped me with bookings, travel arrangements, and finding my way around. I was sad to leave and will definitely stay again if I return to Kerela.

Very clean, very basic, perfect location. At short notice, Mr Binoy was extremely helpful in arranging a number of trips for us. It was no problem to stay an extra day as well as having some laundry done. The Keralan breakfasts were delicious expecially the egg curry. Despite a few rancid dogs, standard, I guess, the beach was beautiful with a couple of relaxed beach bars serving good slow food and cold beer.
