An excellent and very well run hotel situated in the quiet leafy green heights of Ooty but within walking distance of the town. We were pleasantly surprised by all the facilities they offered. The whole hotel is absolutely spotless and very quiet. The food is delicious. Staff were very kind and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The place was stunning, the room and the view outside was incredible. The service was top notch. We were asked several times what we needed and food and refreshments were available to us whenever we wished for. The bonfire was also available on demand, which we took benefit of on two nights of our stay. Faizal, the owner, was always available on call and WhatsApp and ready to cater to our needs. The stunning view and great service just won us over.

Our Ooty trip was quite nice.

Our Ooty trip was quite nice. Pykkarra lake and pine forest were beautiful. Ooty town was very crowded and dirty. It wasn’t pleasant. Ooty is single-use plastic free so you will not be able to buy 500ml bottles. You can buy the larger bottles, I think 2-5l. And fill your water bottles with that. From Ooty we drove down to Coonoor through Wellington. Wellington is extremely clean and organized. Coonoor was also nice. But Sims park was my favourite. There are some old trees from 1800s. Pretty amazing.

Pykara boat house - boat ride was amazing.

Pykara boat house - boat ride was amazing. Greenery, forests all round and the clean water make it a great experience. Liked the botanical garden for the variety of flowers. Pure Vegetarian restaurant options are few. Only Kailash Parbat was good and saved us.

Ooty is good for those looking for cool weather. Not much to see around except gardens, mountains, waterfalls. Tiger reserve could be interesting. Ooty overall is good for a short holiday during summers.

Ooty was not clean, and people are very rude, especially marchent. On the road they didn't obay trafic rules and drive drangersly nothing exciting Street food was just okey. Boat house had some fun but you need to pay here and there Auto drivers are cracy and rude they will fight with you on the street

Its tourest place but every thing was costly there.

Its tourest place but every thing was costly there. Don't go to rose garden waste of time and money you will find better flowers in flower market. Always cool place enjoyed time with my son and family. The locations view from top the hill was awesome and never before you could have experienced the location and no where you can find this location

Just amazing! If you want to relax feel the weather please travel in bike feel the climate enjoy the roads travel locally would be best memories could cherish lifetime .just been warm sightseeing isn't worth travelling in car ☺️

They simply denied my booking. Asked me to contact customer care support to booking mis-management. I have serious concern when customer using online booking almost 3-4 days prior of arrival date then why the hell Hotel allocated that room to someone else without customer consent. Why customer has to suffer??? Why he has to look for another hotels on spot??? Further, It seems to below average hotel must be offered in below 1000 range despite heavy booking. Not at all worth for 1500.

Fungus deposited on room walls. Dirty smelled bed, blankets, and pillows. Hot water was not provided. There are no any restaurant and tea shops nearby.. i request booking.com. do not recommend this property and save the people's health. Just one nepal family run the hotel.. they don't know anything. The photos showed in the site are very old. Not matched with original.

Impeccable service, providing everything you think you need and more. Beautiful surroundings accompanied both stunning views. And many little perks, such as the firepit provided each evening. Has a great feeling of you being an individual, unlike the other large hotels. If you are going to Ooty, you would be crazy to not choose The Tamarillo.
