I’ve stayed here before and always thought the location was...
I’ve stayed here before and always thought the location was magical—the nearby church feels otherworldly! The bar is cozy and a perfect spot for a coffee or a drink, and the restaurant serves a truly delicious dinner. When I stayed a few years ago, I felt the rooms were just okay for the price. But this time, I tried one of the newly renovated rooms, and it was beyond my expectations. The design, comfort, and overall feel completely changed my experience—I went from liking this hotel to absolutely loving it. I highly recommend booking one of the renovated rooms. Hotel Búðir is a must stay if staying over on the peninsula. We stayed for one night and it was a perfect stop after a long day. They have a happy hour in the lounge from 1600-1800 hours. Pleasant and helpful staff. Just do it!Guest review byJBOUnited States

Surrounded by water and mountains with a nice walk down to the beach, past the church if you want to. Amazing sunrise in the morning. Room was nice and spacious, the building is quite dated but it adds to the charm plus I could see they are doing renovations. Our room had a nice view, over the water towards snow-capped mountains. The restaurant serves really good food and the French sommelier knows his wines. For that, no I do not think so. Room facilities are at best basic. There is not even coffee machine, catle, small fridge, no desk, none. Way to basic for this price.
