We went to Dalvík so we could ride horses at the Tvistur...
We went to Dalvík so we could ride horses at the Tvistur horse farm. Then we went north to the Herring Era Museum. I would highly recommend both. It was nice traveling in the north of Iceland because there were so few tourist. Original house decorations. Very convenient location for people taking the ferry to Grimsey, just across the street. There's no real center in Dalvik, but it's located along the main road nearby the little harbor. One of most magical places in Iceland. Didn't really used big bathtub but I was lucky enough to use sauna and it was great. We used the jacuzzi and saw northern lights from there.
