This place is very remote but it is well worth it!! They were so attentive they even have a sign with your name welcoming you when you arrive at the premises. This was the place where we got to see Northern Lights for the first time. And with a jacuzzi no less! It cant get any better than that. Two of my friends got engaged here as well. I will always have this place in my heart and will try to return for a longer time.

Remotely located, the small cabins are really nice and the rooms very functional. it had been a miserable weather day all day so we were happy to arrive there and dry out. The room is great, bed very comfortable and we had our own bathroom. The breakfast was really good, and I regret we did not try out the restaurant because we had eaten a little earlier. The owner is also the owner of the farm on the opposite side of the road. Sheep all around.

Iceland is a very expensive place to travel and this guest house was average price for Iceland but the quality of the rooms were low average. Our room had such a bad slope on it we had to sleep at the other end of the bed with our heads above our feet. The bathroom had a toilet in the middle of the room, you had to walk around it to get to the shower and even though the room came with breakfast included it was very poor quality.

The hostel is easily located. The cleanliness is top notch. Super easy to check-in. Parking is right in front of the main door. Pantry is fully equipped. Bathroom/shower is sufficient for both floors and squeaky clean. Just that the Quad room is abit small.

High quality apartment, beds great etc. Problem was getting there was a hassel of the off road time with very difficult roads. Too expensive given that. And it was a construction site, per the picture out of our window.

There was a lot of noise.

There was a lot of noise. We weren't on the main building and when people walked in the hallway you got a lot of noises. Also the fan in the toilet turned on every time you turned on the lights and it stayed on for 15 minutes after.

We stayed in Kirkjubaerjarklaustur and made day trips to the glacier and to black beach. If you have a car, it is a great place. The scenery is beautiful and it is a good location to explore the south eastern part of the island. It is a bit of a drive for groceries and I suggest you buy them in Reykjavik or at a larger town on the way to the south.

The cottage has everything necessary for comfortable stay. Fully equipped kitchen, sitting place, WC. The shower is shared. There is a stunning view of waterfall just 20 m behind the cottage. Many thanks to Aurora for useful advises concerning our future trip ;-) and also we would thank the women on river cross (unfortunately don't know her name), but she was both so strict and so welcoming, that we remembered her all our journey. The Iceland can be proud of such a hospitable citizens. Many, many thanks.

Very high quality hotel and excellent service from the personnel. It is quite pricey but the included breakfast is so good that the final value for money makes it worth visiting. It is situated in a small settlement with not much to do, but it is a nice location to split your trip towards or back from the southeast corner of iceland.

Very quiet and peaceful place, lot of room for the big company. Well equipped kitchen with tea and coffee supplies, washing machine and dryer, hot water doesn't smell of sulfur, what is rare in Iceland.
