The two hosts were fantastic, they made us feel right at home! Upon check-in, the owner gave us a tour of the entire hotel and explained the story behind their business and their family. Had some lovely talks with both of them throughout our stay and I loved all the personal touches they added to the decor of the hotel. They were extremely accommodating and even let us put a few groceries in their fridge. We made our own dinner in the shared kitchen and enjoyed it on the outside terrace while watching the sunset behind the mountains. The surroundings were peaceful and offered the most beautiful views. We even watched a wild fox come and play with their dog!! The kitchen was clean and fully stocked with all of the equipment you need. Breakfast was superb, they offered a wide variety of meats, cheese, cereal, fruit and even fresh bread baked by the owner's wife. Our room was spacious, had a separate/private entrace, large bathroom and even included an extremely comfortable couch to relax on. Their service and hospitality was our favourite part. This was the best stay in all of Iceland, and we are so happy to have met the hosts!

3 bedrooms. Fully equiped kitchen. Parking right outside our door. Lots of room for storage. Remote location right on the water between two mountains. Drove to the edge of town, walked down a trail at night and saw the Northern Lights!

The place seems to be converted from an old bank, and it’s got a nice vintage vibe. The view from the window is great too. The check-in location is about a 5-minute walk from where the rooms actually are, but overall, everything was really good.

The location was lovely - very gorgeous wee town, and a spectacular drive into the valley. The area around the apartment felt very safe, and, had it not been pouring with rain, would have been lovely to walk around. The old school house was beautifully appointed, super clean, and was a really good size. We appreciated the washing machine. The reception area was in the nearby bar/restaurant which we didn't eat at, but it looked really nice.
