Out of all the hotels I visited in Tuscany, this glamping site became my favorite. The attention to detail, impeccable service, and genuine warmth of the staff made me feel like part of their extended family. Their unmatched hospitality left a lasting impression. The pool was an oasis of tranquility, providing the ideal place to relax and enjoy the sun. Surrounded by captivating scenery, it enhanced the overall beauty of the site. We stayed here for two nights. The checking-in process was fast as it worked online before our arrival. By the time we arrived, the lobby staff had already left, but we received all the necessary information via a WhatsApp message, and the key was left in the lobby. Our room was spotless, charming and stylish, and had a fantastic land view. The beds and the pillows were really comfortable. The pool and its area were also OK. Parking was included in the price, and upon arrival, we also received a remote control for the car park gate. The breakfast satisfied all of our needs in variety and quality and was served by a lovely old but very fit lady called Monica. We met every morning and got into a conversation very quickly. Monica warmly welcomed us and kept her eyes on what to bring and how to pamper our needs or favour while smiling and singing quietly. The pies served were her homemade pies and were really very delicious. She introduced the view we had from the breakfast area. She also talked about herself and how she sees the world, her art pieces exhibited in the breakfast area. Monica is definitely the heart of the place, and we felt she was like our lovely grandmother. At first, we supposed that Vetulonia was a tiny place, even smaller than a village, just some houses, and there was nothing to do there at all. But we found a community here. There is a pub in the village centre where all the local people come together, talk and have fun in the evenings on the main street; in the village, there is a restaurant, a museum and churches, as well. There are even festivals in the village. This place is the island of tranquillity, and if you are curious about the real life of rural Italian people, just come here and look.

A little-known village, but it offered some very pleasant experiences. We stayed during the Midsummer celebrations, and it was wonderful because, in addition to the evening activities, there was a restaurant in the party area serving many local specialties.

Excellent value for money!

Excellent value for money! Caldana is small and very easy to get around on foot. The view is beautiful! There are many small towns and beaches to visit nearby, but you need a car. The beaches are very good, even for small children.

We've stayed three times in two years.

We've stayed three times in two years. I recommend it during the April-June and September-October periods. During these periods, the countryside is at its best for walking, hiking, or biking. November is only possible with mild weather; if you use the spa in the late afternoon (the restaurant and spa are separate from the rooms), getting back to your room is a challenge.

It's a shame we didn't have a balcony or terrace. That's very disappointing for a resort like this. There wasn't a single parasol by the pool, and the wine was undrinkable. Mind you, this was in Tuscany, the wine country!

The spacious and fully equipped apartment is located in the centre of Caldana, but in a peaceful corner, making it the perfect choice for those seeking tranquility, combined with near local amenities. From there you can take beautiful walks in the woods or set off by car to visit the nearby villages. The hosts are very welcoming, present, available, but never intrusive. The apartment features a large, well-maintained terrace where you can relax, especially in the evening, and enjoy the fantastic views over the Maremma.

Very modern, well-maintained and comfortable maisonette apartment. Welcoming hosts, who live next door and had everything perfectly prepared for arrival. The apartment has a beautiful terrace with a panoramic view over the Maremma landscape - a wonderful place to relax at any time of day. Private, covered parking space directly in front of the apartment. Caldana is a charming and quiet village where you'll find everything for a relaxing holiday.

The best place in Toscany!!! Highly recommended!!! Thanks to Alessandro ( the owner) who creates a warm atmosphere and gives his heart to this wonderful place!! His biological wine and food are delicious! Beautiful nature around. Rooms, swimming pool, spa are very good. We're just in love with Montebelli Agriturismo & Country Hotel, and for sure we'll come here again!
