A welcoming and very quiet town, the Via Francigena passes...

A welcoming and very quiet town, the Via Francigena passes through here, and many tourists stop by to eat. I ate at Ciucci's two evenings. It was a great place, family-friendly, and reasonably priced. The owner is like a brother to me.

Capranica is a very pretty town with the possibility of being a short distance from Sutri, the lakes, Viterbo and the most famous towns of upper Lazio such as Caprarola and Ronciglione. A stretch of the famous Via Francigena, which connects Rome to Canterbury, also passes through Capranica.

Stayed in the ancient village of Capranica, along the Via Francigena, for the delightful 'Giro di Vino' and 'Sogni di Luce' events. This pleasant and welcoming town is ideally located for enjoying Lake Vico and as a starting point for exploring the many historical and natural attractions of Tuscia.

We felt so very much at home in this beautiful old, skillfully renovated and tastefully furnished, clean, spacious apartment in the medieval village of Capranica. Elisabetta is a great host, very responsive, communicative, perfect. We enjoyed our stay here and in the surroundings (e.g. Viterbo) greatly and intend to return. PS: information for those less mobile: •short-term parking to unpack your car is at ~30m; daily parking at ~€3 is at ~300m •20 clean, natural stone stairs lead to the entrance door

We were walking to Capranica and it started to rain - Paolo even drove back slong the route to offer us a lift! We had a very friendly, helpful welcome, with a good-natured tour round the large and well equipped apartment which is furnished in traditional style on the third floor of a 20th century apartment block just outside the historic city centre. There are mosquito nets on the windows so we could take advantage of the breeze.

The accommodation was clean and beautifully furnished, located in a stunning and peaceful olive grove. There is a pool with a lovely view of the historic center of Capranica. It's a perfect base for visiting many amazing places we love, such as Bagnaia, Civita di Bagnoregio, Cerveteri, Caprarola, Tivoli, Viterbo, and Bomarzo. Our stay here was absolutely wonderful.

This was an amzing location in Capranica. The apartment was very comfortable and the rooftop veranda was a big plus. Our host, Stefania, was responsive and helpful.
