My best vacation. Taormina Garden Hotel is not only a place with a beautiful garden and access to a small, quiet beach. Thanks to the people, it really is more than that. Angelo is like an angel who will take care of your good mood and is a guide to Sicilian cuisine. Absolutely beautiful and very charming hotel. The common areas and breakfast areas were really lovely and the views to the ocean were amazing. The breakfast itself was amazing and varied. The hotel is easy walking distance to the centre. The staff were lovely and even helped with parking on site, as it is really difficult otherwise!

Castel Mola is a picturesque hilltop town above Taormina. There is a limited bus service but I would not recommend a car. There are lots of steps and narrow streets. The restaurants were good value. The church is interesting and there are great views of Etna.

Quaint town set on the top of a hill - quite amazing to visit! Fantastic views of Mt Etna and surrounds. Many cute restaurants and terraces. If you have the opportunity to stay for dinner the town has a different feel in the evening once the day trippers has have left. The famous Bar Turrisi is fantastic for drinks, dinner or Gelato.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village.

It is a beautiful little mountain top village. Nice hike/walk down to Taormina or easy bus if you wish. Great place to relax. I would worry about it being even more overrun with tourists in peak season but it makes sense why. If you drive by car and are not comfortable with small, steep roads - take some anxiety meds and take your time!

Quiet and quaint village.

Quiet and quaint village. The views are amazing, there are the basic shops like pharmacy and grocer in case you need something. The only downside is the frequency of the busses out of Castelmola. The first one is about 6.30am-7am to go to Taormina, and then the next one is 10am. Most shops open around 10am, except for the cafe in the piazza and the pharmacy, which open earlier. You can get anywhere in Castelmola on foot. There is also il sentiero dei Saraceni which takes you on foot to Taormina. It is a steep walk down so prepare comfortable shoes if you plan on taking this walk.

Amazing place to stay.

Amazing place to stay. We went to Taormina for the day and enjoyed Castelmola during the evenings. Amazing view of the city and Mt Etna from the castle. It was easy to get to Taormina and we used both walking paths to get upto Castelmola, we enjoyed both paths equally. Loads of good shops/restaurants in the area too. Pizzeria Nina for pizza was amazing.

Incredible views. Clean and well stocked apartment. Amazing host who talks you through everything. I took a risk with there not being many reviews and was one of the most beautiful stays I've ever been to. Castelmola is absolute paradise and super easy to get to Taormina and avoid the crowds. There are about 5 incredible restaurants in Castelmola and the duomo square has a great vibe. I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Damico.

We had one of the suites and it was lovely and spacious with a balcony with an amazing view of Mount Etna. Loved staying here and in Castelmola which was a nice quiet hideaway from busy Taormina.
