Fantastic gem in the mountains above Claviere. Above 2000m. You get there by snow mobile. Fantastic food and staff very friendly. Highly recommend. This was our second visit.

The value of a place is as high as the people who manage it. In this light I would like to say that the manager and the front desk people have done everything to make our stay perfectly. The hotel is recently renovated and it looks very nice. Also the view is incredible. Breakfast included almost everything (it would have been perfect if they had vegetables also). You can buy the skipass from the reception and also the recomand a ski rental place where you have a discount. I strongly recomand having dinner at the hotel’s restaurant because is fabulous.

+ Big room, clean, nicely decorated, huge windows. Excellent food, so varied and delicious, super careful staff and very attentive to us, having a small child. It really is something else to have half board in Italy, the food is amazing and the local dishes a must try. We had a varied menu, especially in the evening, with multiple courses or even buffet. They have a separate spot in the restaurant where you can even cook for your baby/child all day long, and they have food especially for that age. The pool is super clean and with extraordinary views of the mountains, perfect temperature. Ski bus on time, regular service, so it takes a few minutes to get to the slopes. - We had to pay extra for the infant, although we didn't need and didn't use the "baby package" constituted by crib and baby tub; extra for the pool+ski bus+ski room. Room was facing the parking lot and we were at the same level with the parked cars and ski bus - we would've had to pay extra again to move on the other side and see the beautiful mountain range. If you want the real "mountain view" be sure you're on the right side of the building.

You can feel that the owners are doing it with their heart and soul. Room was clean, staff friendly and professional and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. As a small example, we asked owners about the skiing conditions and they took the time and initiative to call every information centre in the area for the most up to date data. Also I have to mention that breakfast is amazing 👍🏻

We had an outstanding stay at Grande Côte Room & Breakfast. The house is tastefully done—modern and stylish—while our room was impeccably clean and exceptionally comfortable. Cute, small mountain village, that is probably buzzing in the winter, and was extremely cozy in the summer. People are still present, go on hikes, chill in the nature. You have clear water from little fountains on the street. Lovely. Would've easily stayed 2-3 more days (but travelled elsewhere in a 80km circle during, so if you plan on staying just in Claviere, 4-5 days should be enough for relaxing+hiking). Public transport is not really great, sadly the best option might be to rent a car in Oulx or Briancon if you're coming from that way (or Torino of course).

No waiting lines, even in a high-season week.

No waiting lines, even in a high-season week. Great (often homemade) local Italian food on the slopes at affordable rates. It seems far from the Netherlands, however we experienced no traffic jams and the resort is accessible, (no high passes) while being at 1760m altitude. Lifts are generally slow though, but you have easy access to Montgenevere with generally more modern lifts (but this being a more well-known place there are some short waiting lines in high season)

I cannot not speak highly enough about this hotel. Position is literally next to ski lift, warm locker room for boots and skis, extremely clean with daily room servicing. Shower for me was the highlight - huge by italian standards with super hot powerful water jets. Breakfast had everything you could wish for including savoury. It is s family run hotel and they take immense pride and care to ensure their visitors feel welcome. Can highly recommend this hotel on every level.

The location is very good. Close to the nursery slopes and you can keep your skis and boots at the hotel. Breakfast is nice and simple but the coffee could be better. The property has a bar/ restaurant on the ground floor which is popular. Serves good pizza in the bar area. The manager of the bar was excellent.

Very nice staff, speaking English. Beautiful and cosy sitting area with electric kettle and coffee maker. Breakfast was good as well. Close to hiking trails and not that far to Montgenevre. In general - if by any chance I am in Claviere again (on my way from France to Turin Airport) I would stay there again.
