We were looking for an experience that wasn’t wall to wall tourists and Gaeta in September was perfect for that. (Summer is much busier, I’m told.) There was plenty of excellent restaurant choices as well as places to visit. The beach was lovely and we had planned to spend time there; however, we ended up only walking through on our first evening in town. It is a lovely town with friendly people. Geata is absolutely beatiful town, full of history and culture. Plenty to do and discover for everyone beach bums and seasoned hikers . Beaches in the area are stunning, people are friendly. Kids enjoyed visiting different beaches everyday , waters are clear and warm in August. They also loved apartment ,full of character with fantastic views. A few steps and you can see ships and boats, the horizon and the sea. Ancient walls will surprise you while walking a long way effortlessly.
