A fantastic place in a charming little town. Supermarket and few restaurant just few minutes away. Great location, clean, no problem with parking next to the apartment. Highly recomended. We stayed with 2 small kids and had a great time. We had a car but also used a train to get to the Bari.

When you're looking to stay around the Bari area, you can easly miss this quite charming town. We preferred to stay here, rather than Bari and we are glad we did. Giovinazzo is a hidden gem. Note - The Bari Airport is between Bari and Giovinazzo, easy to get to the airport via train or taxi. If you decide to stay in Giovinazzo you will have to drop by "Dallo zio - Stuzzicheria caffetteria" and "Il Duca" - in our opionion some good food and drinks. If you are on a diet, don't go to "Pasticceria Giotti", because they have some of the best pastries we have ever had and for a good tasting focaccia try Antica Panetteria Snc... awesome.

Giovinazzo is a great little town, especially the historic centre. Less touristy than other places. Great fun exploring the little alleyways and squares. Plenty of restaurants serving excellent food,though we struggled to find just bars...we were there towards the end of their season though, so maybe more options in peak season? A good base for visiting Bari, Trani plus other sights inland

Giovinazzo has truly become my favorite holiday destination...

Giovinazzo has truly become my favorite holiday destination – I have already returned three times in the past two years, and I can honestly say there is no better place to spend a vacation. The old town is simply magical: narrow streets full of history, charming squares, and breathtaking views along the sea promenade. I especially love the central piazza and the harbor area, where the atmosphere is lively yet very authentic. When it comes to food, Giovinazzo never disappoints. There are plenty of small local restaurants and cafés where you can enjoy fresh seafood, traditional Apulian dishes, and, of course, delicious Italian gelato. Dining outside in the piazza in the evenings is an unforgettable experience. Getting around the town is very easy – everything is within walking distance, and the beauty of Giovinazzo is best enjoyed on foot as you wander through the old streets and along the seafront. For other solo travelers, I would recommend simply taking the time to explore the old town at your own pace, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly locals, and the unique southern Italian charm. Watching the sunset by the sea or having a coffee in the main square are small but perfect pleasures here. Giovinazzo has a special place in my heart, and I can recommend it without hesitation to anyone looking for an authentic and unforgettable Italian experience.

Hard to pick one thing we liked the most but here are a few, the apartment, staying in the ancient historical part of the village, hearing the church bells ring, the many restaurants we tried (we stayed 4 weeks) and knowing that Natalina could be reached by WhatsApp for advice and suggestions.

It was less touristy and everybody was very friendly and helpful. There is no sandy beach but beach bars with seats and beds weather permitting. There are many restaurants and bars and a lovely central piazza with bars and restaurants all around it. From Bari airport it takes about 15 minutes and 30 euros in a taxi. There is a train station that goes to many places and a local bus. I will definitely be back. The old town is amazing lots of nooks and crannies with some shops and restaurants and bars. We were there for a week from the 13th September and at 1pm till around 4 it is very quiet with most places closed.

Giovinazzo is a small beautiful town on the Adriatic sea just north of Bari, with a rich history that shows in its old town made of stone. The area is great to explore with its tall narrow picturesque white stone homes, windows, doors, arches, and small streets. Not to mention the food is amazing and as authentic as you can get, with great pasta, seafood, and menus you can't find anywhere else. If you want to be with locals, this is a truly authentic experience and pleasure to explore this area. Highly Recommend.

very central to a lot of places in the area. we used it as a base to visit along the coast, as well as places like matera. The house is comfortable and easy to live in. It really does feel like a home away from home. 20 minute walk into Giovinazzo, which is a gem of a town. Hosts were lovely and eady to communicate with. Good kitchen with everything you could need. Smart tv which is a plus. if you have a family and want a base to explore the south east of italy this is it.

The host was incredibly helpful, replied promptly, and was pleasant. The host went out of his way to call his family doctor to assist us when we required medical services. The apartment is located in the centro storico of Giovinazzo. One can easily walk to the main square, the port, restaurants, and public transport. Highly recommended!
