Everything about my stay at Relais Villa Vittoria was excellent, but the great service started about a week before my arrival when my travel plans had to change at the last minute due to bad weather in the UK. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodated the last minute change of dates with out any fuss. The hotel, room and restaurant were all lovely, choice at breakfast was great, food in the evenings was very good, but as ever its the staff that make the experience. I was staying here on a business trip, but will definitely be returning for a holiday with my wife in the future.

Laglio has not much to offer per se, it is a small village...

Laglio has not much to offer per se, it is a small village on the Como Lake. But there are two restaurants, both of which are great value for money, down by the pier. Worth a stop. Actually two stops. 1. La locanda del Cantiere which is more sofisticated but worth it. 2. Osteria Vecchio Molo which is very nice, makes tasty food, at a good price and has super friendly service.

Was a stunning and beautiful place to visit. Navigating around the place was not to difficult. Using buses and the train. However taxis can be difficult to get and when you do prices seemed to vary for same distance. Locals were helpful and friendly.

Our hotel, San Marino, was on the main north south route...

Our hotel, San Marino, was on the main north south route above the old lakeside road. To get a better impression we walked down what appear to be ancient alleys between old properties to reach the lakeside road which is more atmospheric. Good exercise too.

Laglio and the surrounding area offer plenty of holiday...

Laglio and the surrounding area offer plenty of holiday experiences: gardens in Tremezzo, among others, or the towns of Cadenabbia, Lenno, Menaggio, or exploring the other side of the lake by boat, Torno, etc. Como has once again become a recommendable shopping and strolling destination.

It's a very pretty and welcoming town.

It's a very pretty and welcoming town. They have a couple of very good restaurants, several hotels and hostels, a public beach, boat rentals, etc. The road is a bit tricky, but otherwise, I highly recommend staying here!

A small village overlooking the lake.

A small village overlooking the lake. Well located, but with few points of interest. You can explore it on foot if you're willing to climb stairs. Be careful on the roads, as there's no shoulder for pedestrians, and you have to walk very close to the cars.

I was there at the beginning of April 2023. The hotel is located at the side of lake Como and has a very beautiful views at the lake and mountains, so the fans of photo may like this place. The hosts are very welcoming. There were no troubles finding this hotel, it is located near the road. The parking is nearby and free for the guests. The breakfast was good, but don't expect a big variety of meals. Rooms have some kind of terraces. There is a restaurant-bar, but also you can find a lot of them nearby.

Felt like a home away from home, very easy to host a group. Excellent location right on the water, beds and bathrooms were comfortable and clean. It would be a great idea to purchase food etc. before you get there as there is limited restaurants and shops in Laglio itself.
