The apartment was clean and comfortable for 2 couples (or family of 4) as there were 2 rooms. The host, Deborah, was very helpful, and so his son, Manuel. One has to have a car to stay in the apartment as it could be challenging to get a taxi at the place.

My stay was absolutely wonderful – although it lasted only two days, it far exceeded my expectations! Upon arrival, I immediately felt as if I had stepped into an Italian home – both in terms of interior design and atmosphere. Everything was spotless, from the rooms to the shared spaces. In the kitchen, there were always bottles of water and snacks available, and in the mornings, I loved stepping out onto the terrace with a cup of coffee to enjoy the start of a new day. When I landed at Ciampino Airport, I faced some unexpected issues with my originally booked apartment. Luckily, I found Rome Charm House, located nearby, and booked a room right away. I was exhausted after the flight, but I was kindly informed that I could leave my luggage before the official check-in time – which was already quite early! Upon arrival, I was even given great local food recommendations, so I could relax and grab a bite before settling in. The following days were a bit hectic due to some unforeseen circumstances, but Roberto, Antonella, and Riccardo were always there to help. When I got caught up in work and forgot to eat, Antonella would bring one of the most delicious dinners I’ve ever had. Roberto and Riccardo were always ready to assist – whether it was overcoming language barriers with locals or helping resolve bigger issues (and there were quite a few!). I truly felt at home, cared for like a member of the family. They are some of the kindest and most genuine people I’ve ever met. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at Rome Charm House if you’re arriving at or departing from Ciampino Airport, or visiting Ciampino, Marino or Rome. This place truly goes beyond any rating scale!

It's a nice place to stay considering the cost and with good breakfast. It's a good place to stay after a long day travel. The bed was quite comfortable. Aircon was working fine. Except my room's (#210) shower drainage was plugged and water went down extremely slow. The location is not ideal but if you have a car and a GPS, you should be fine. It takes 45 min. from Collosseum to the hotel, 45 min. to the airport (FCO). There's nothing around the area, like shopping malls or attractions.

Perfect nice Italian town where you can have real Italian...

Perfect nice Italian town where you can have real Italian taste as we did not meet any other tourist during our stay. Nice views of surroundings as Marino is located on the hill. Transporting between airport can be challenging but once you will get used to the system, it becomes easy. Rome can be reached just in 30 minutes by train for just Eur 2.20 per person or you can purchase Eur 8 regional Rome day ticket. You can also visit towns nearby - Castel Gandolfo or Albano - both can be reached by train or bus.

When I arrived at B&B Fabiola, I was having a hard time...

When I arrived at B&B Fabiola, I was having a hard time getting around Rome; I barely knew any words and none of the customs. Mrs. Fabiola let me drop my luggage off before my room was ready. She was very welcoming and patient with me as I tried to communicate in Italian. This kindness continued even after my check-out, when she helped get my baggage to my final destination. Thank you so much Fabiola for your warm welcome to Rome and to Italy! I had a wonderful time at your B&B and hope to visit again in the future!

Local people very hospitable and keen to help if required. Town itself very traditional, rustic old buildings steeped in history and charm. Cobbled narrow streets which only add to its beauty. Situated on one of the mountains surrounding Rome so very hilly to walk around in the summer heat. Restaurants very good and pretty much priced equivalent to what you’d pay in Britain. Handy train station for a 35 minute direct train into Rome itself. Did the hop on tour bus around Rome for 22 euros which was perfect for my groups needs. Also train to other local attractions including lake ALbano which was absolutely stunning. The Popes summer residence sits up one of the lakes mountains and well worth a visit to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

Marino is a charming village in the Castelli Romani area, rich in history and tradition. Famous for its Grape Festival, it offers picturesque views, ancient churches, and charming alleys. The local cuisine is delicious, with traditional taverns serving authentic dishes. It's an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area and enjoying the tranquility of the hills. An ideal destination for an authentic getaway near Rome.

Maybe I had too high expectations, but of the Castelli Romani, I only liked the gardens of Castel Gandolfo. I found the towns a bit shabby. The food, however, was excellent! In Grottaferrata, there was a pretty nice fair, where we had dinner with excellent first courses and good wine.

We only stayed here the night (early flight) as it was an excellent location close to the airport. While a touch dated, it's a lovely place with great views and every amenity you could need. A nearby train that gets you into central Rome in 40 minutes. Our hosts kindly waited for us despite a late arrival and awful weather which was really appreciated. We'd stay here again and certainly explore the local area and lake.

Melo was a really kind and thoughtful host. The whole apartment was clean, pretty, well-equipped, the room was nice, tidy. The neighbourhood is friendly and safe, there are some great restaurants nearby. It's quite close to the airport, by walk it takes about 35 mins. There was airconditioning in the room, which is really a musthave during the italian summer.
