The staff/family was really kind, the indoor was pretty and it had enough room. Also they said they would make a local specialty as a welcome, there was so much food it was like a full dinner! The food was also very tasty! Also hand made breakfast would be made and served really quick (which was also really delicious.) Our two daughters really enjoyed our stay as well as we did.

Small town close about 15-30 to most of the beautiful beaches in Salento. Bigger towns like Gallipoli and Nardo' are 30 min away. The town is very quite and has everything you need during your stay (alongside the neighbour town Parabita)

I have to be fair to Matino.

I have to be fair to Matino. I drove through it, around it, from one side to another but I'm not really sure I caught the centre of the place, Perhaps there isn't one. Matino exists between one place and another which are more attractive, so perfect for getting everywhere

Always absolutely beautiful ❤️. Lovely bakeries, good grocery stores, a great market on Saturdays, stunning views, and warm-hearted people. The only thing I personally find very disadvantageous these days is the public transport in Salento. Without a car, you're stranded. There's definitely room for improvement there.

Matino is a charming town with its own unique tradition. It boasts several supermarkets, bars and restaurants, bakeries, and other specialty shops. You don't come to Matino for shopping. The people who live there are incredibly kind and helpful.

The village is beautiful, and the location is strategic for exploring the Ionian and Adriatic coasts of Salento. The property is beautiful, the hospitality is excellent, and the accommodation was clean and perfect in every way. I'll definitely be back.

Matino is a very quiet town.

Matino is a very quiet town. The historic center was renovated a few years ago and is truly beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that it was completely deserted. Despite the historic center being so beautiful, there's no one walking through the streets, and this can be a bit boring. There are, however, some very nice pubs and bars where you can eat well.

What an amazing gorgeous place to stay … so much character and charm. The property is just off a large square next to a gorgeous Church. Cafes and restaurants close by (check out Vinha - excellent !). Valeria the host was lovely with excellent communication and information. Mariateresa is an Angel … picking us up and dropping us off to the train station and preparing a stunning breakfast with eggs/bacon and fresh local fruits and cakes. LOVED staying here and LOVED Matino … can’t wait to return - Grazie Mille 🙏❤️

Charming, small and stylish property in the centre of a pretty and understated town. Gorgeous roof terrace is the perfect place for the most delicious breakfast each morning. The owner was delightful and keen to make our stay enjoyable. Matino is an excellent base for all the Baroque towns and coast of Puglia. Fabulous foodie restaurants nearby.

The place is very comfortable located. Outside center of Matino, big area with forest, makes the place silent and cozy. To the nearest beautiful beach is 30 min drive by car. Alessandra is very nice person. She helped us with everything.
