This hotel is a gem. We booked a 5 night stay and we absolutely loved it. This place is designed for relaxation and is a great jumping off point for exploring the region. All of the facilities- pool, dining room, bedroom are lovely and well appointed. But the best thing is how accommodating the staff are. All of the staff, but particularly Yaunes at the desk, made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. They were very accommodating, answered our questions and created a very positive vibe. The rooms are large and uncluttered and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast and dinners were terrific. Someone noted that they don't serve lunch, but they have a bar menu that includes items like salads with protein that are more and enough for lunch. Another plus is the free shuttle that takes you to the station or into the town. It was also easy to walk into town on our own but I would not recommend trying to walk to the hotel with luggage.

Its an ideal location if you want to explore both the coast...

Its an ideal location if you want to explore both the coast at Levanto and the hill country and surrounds of the Ligurian highlands. Perfect altitude at 470m ASL and people are very friendly and kind at this hotel. Only the twisty drive from Levanto (and down again) a bit of hassle but its not too long and scenic. Its a popular route for bikers so that Sunday morning they pulled into the place with their smart machinery and gear. There is a peaceful and warm atmosphere around this town, and the hotel proprietor, Antonina, was very keen to share about the hotel's history and the area in general. A brief one-nighter but a special time at this small town. Would love to go back some day.

Mattarana is a small, peaceful village located 25 minutes from Levanto, a perfect starting point for catching the train to Cinque Terre. It's also conveniently situated halfway between the Portofino peninsula and the Gulf of Poets (Portovenere, Lerice, etc.). It's an ideal spot to experience the touristy side of Liguria while still offering a peaceful escape from the crowds in the evenings.

A very beautiful place, the rooms are comfortable, the food is excellent and reasonably priced, and the service is exceptional both at reception and in the dining room; the staff are very courteous and friendly. I recommend this place 100%.

it was really so clean, everything was sleeping like soap. No disturbing sounds at night. Staff was really helpful. Also, definitely give a chance to their tiramisu, I really enjoyed it. And there is a great local restaurant 200 m away from the hotel.

It was perfect, nice small location, beautiful views, amazing breakfast, extremely clean and was unique. We had a beautiful views from our window and parking directly across the hotel which we loved. We would stay here again.
