It’s near to everything and accesible when reaching with public transportation, Sorrento it’s just at 2 stop with public train. Room have a stunning view on the gulf. Customer service it’s great, very helpful and provided a lot of information on the local area and good advices. Room was cleaned everyday. Christina the front desk was very kind and the owner was very helpful. I would definitely come back in the future

The room was fantastic! We arrived earlier than the official check-in time, but the host was incredibly accommodating from the very beginning — she let us store our luggage, and the cleaning team managed to get the room ready ahead of schedule. After a quick coffee in town, we were able to move in right away. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed — super clean, air-conditioned, smart TV with internet access, a great terrace, a coffee machine, and even some sweet treats waiting in the room. After two nights, we were given fresh towels and the bathroom was cleaned again, which was a lovely surprise. The area is very well connected with public transport, there’s great food nearby, and the sea is just a pleasant 15-minute walk away. Nothing to add, nothing to take away — everything was perfect. Hope to be back someday!

Piano di Sorrento itself is a calm and friendly town.

Piano di Sorrento itself is a calm and friendly town. It’s not as visually striking as some of the surrounding towns, but I would gladly live here rather than in many other settlements on the Sorrento Peninsula. The Amalfi Coast, for example, can be a nightmare due to the crowds, though it offers truly picturesque views. In contrast, Piano di Sorrento is quieter, yet you can still enjoy beautiful views of the Bay of Naples and there are excellent restaurants. It serves very well as a base for further travel, especially since accommodations are more affordable. The train provides easy access to Naples and Sorrento, and from Sorrento you can reach the Amalfi Coast by ferry or bus (the latter being quite an adrenaline-filled experience) and there is a ferry to Capri too. We travelled at the end of September and early October, and the weather was very enjoyable. Public transport can still be quite busy even at this time of year, but fortunately we didn’t experience any major issues. Sorrento is only a 5-minute ride away, and from there all the main attractions of the area are accessible. Public transport can be a challenge however. Multiple ferry companies operate in the area, so there are often long lines and it can be confusing to figure out departure times and boarding locations. Somehow, though, the Italians manage to keep the service at a usable level, even if just barely. If you plan to go to the Amalfi Coast by bus, it’s best to board in Sorrento, which is the starting point. Otherwise, you might not find a seat or the bus may not stop. The train between Sorrento and Naples also tends to get full, so the best seats are usually secured if you board at one of the two terminus stations.

Piano di Sorrento is a quiet town which is what we liked. But it had everything we wanted - easy to get to the train station, lots of shops within walking distance and several restaurants nearby. There was a nice park, a marina and it was possible to get boat trips from there instead of travelling into Sorrento which was much busier. Our favourite restaurant, which was only 5 minutes from where we stayed, was Gusto - nice staff, serving fabulous meat and other dishes. We ate here three times, each time trying different things and everything was delicious.

There was not much in piano de sorrento but it was a good...

There was not much in piano de sorrento but it was a good base for visiting sorrento and all the attractions , not many restaurants and bars there so hard to find a place to have food, beach was lovely but was down a steep decline and walking there was quite dangerous because I'm of lack of footpaths and drivers are crazy 🤪

A very peaceful and beautiful place with an extraordinary coastline. It’s not overcrowded at all. There are many good restaurants in the center. Like in many other places in Italy, there are no pavements along the road, so stay alert and watch out.

If you’re traveling on a budget and dreaming of the Amalfi Coast, I highly recommend staying in Piano di Sorrento. Hotels in Positano, Amalfi, or Ravello can be crazy expensive, especially during peak season. But Piano di Sorrento offers a much more affordable option without sacrificing charm or convenience. This peaceful town is just a short bus ride away from hotspots like Positano and Sorrento, (bus is limited) making it a great base for exploring the entire Amalfi Coast. You’ll still enjoy local food spots, and authentic Italian vibes—minus the tourist crowds and high prices. For budget-conscious travelers who still want easy access to all the beauty of the Amalfi Coast, Piano di Sorrento is a smart and savvy choice. Plus, you’ll find great local bakeries, friendly people, and a more relaxed pace. Win-win!

We loved quiet, quaint aspect of the area. We enjoyed espresso, pastries and gelato at Marazulla and delicious dinner at L'Approdo. The area felt very safe and the locals were friendly. We were able to easily catch a private boat to the Amalfi coast and Capri.

Firstly, Giuseppe the owner, was amazing. 2 weeks ago I had cut my leg badly and when I told him I might need a nurse whilst there.......he went out of his way to help. Even phoning me in South Africa. He helped us from the word go. Even drove us to the train station on our last day. The apartment was lovely with everything we needed. Lots of info booklets and advice from Giuseppe. Very handy for the lift in the rock, shops and restaurants. And absolutely spotlessly clean WE WILL BE BACK

We only stayed one night as we where just passing through but wish we could have stayed longer. Piano di Sorrento was the perfect location to relax after being in the big busy city’s all week and Mille912 was just beautiful. It was very welcoming and we were shocked at how lovely the whole property was. The pool was wonderful and hosts so helpful giving us info about closest supermarkets, laundry mats etc. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend

Clean, spacious, bright, double glazed windows and shutters. All furniture is in good condition. Fantastic sea view and nice mountain view. Shower great. Good position for piano di sorrento beach Supermarket around 5 mins walk, station 10 mins.

Location of the resort was OK. Few restaurants nearby, Walk to nearest beach was about 20min down the cliff, and a bit tiering return, unless you paid for the lift. Resort itself has very nice pool to relax.
