Riomaggiore is a vibrant town. Loved being outside at night with the restaurant sounds and bars playing music. It felt safe to walk around on my own. Enjoyed the harbor view and proximity to boat rental and tours. Beach was nice and small and not too crowded. Ferry is right there, too. The best on the Cinque Terre villages in our opinion. Plenty of restaurants to choose from or takeways to sit in the harbour and eat plus bars. No cover charges like the other resorts we visited. Great atmosphere. The Cinque Terre is overpriced in general not just for food/drink but also the tourist tax/ train tickets/ walking trails etc. but as long as you know this it is a lovely place so you need to tick the area off your listGuest review byCaroline - 10.0

It was good to stay at one end of the string of five towns, take the ferry to the other end, and work our way back. Riomaggiore seemed to have more dining options than the other towns except for Monterroso, and wasn't too costly.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Riomaggiore was a great spot for us to stay. It is a beautiful little village, with many restaurants, cafes and bars but also quiet in the evenings and mornings. Riomaggiore is the first of the five villages and is a truly magical place! The harbour is particularly enchanting, both from the land and from the sea. Because of its situation, one can easily reach the other villages as well as Portovenere. In the harbour, Lo Scalo Lounge Bar offers great cocktails for people watching and catching your breath. Further into town, there’s a couple restaurants and foccaceria for those in need (in particular La Torpedine and Bakery Rosi). One great thing to do is to either rent a kayak or go on a sunset tour with Cinque Terre Adventure Boat Tour, which will allow you to create magical memories - ask for Matteo to be your guide, his knowledge and passion are excellent!Guest review byThomasBelgium

A quiet and peaceful spot away from the busy crowds, with the best views in Cinque Terre. The room was nothing spectacular however clean and replenished with new drinks and coffee pods every morning. Having a meal or a wine on the terrace was a highlight of our trip, it’s so beautiful.
