A wonderful place to stay.

A wonderful place to stay. Just do yourself a favour and book one of the modern, refurbished rooms. I booked in the afternoon, so last minute, but so glad to choose this family owned and run hotel. There was parking for my car. A fabulous buffet breakfast. Local recommendations for dinner. Just wish I had longer to stay.

We went for skiing.

We went for skiing. The slopes are exceptionally well prepared. It is a smaller resort than Alta Badia, for example, but this has its benefits as there were no queues and crowds. It is close to Nauders in Austria, so one could decide to try both resorts, but we didn't: we loved the Schoeneben ski area. Food at the restaurants is much cheaper than average for ski resorts in Europe, yet of the same high standard.

San Valentino alla Muta is an enchanting place: the lake with its pristine nature, meadows, and woods. The range of excursions is extensive and suitable for all levels. It's the ideal place for young people who love the mountains and sports, families, and even older people who can find trails along the lake.

This was our second visit to Sankt Valentin.

This was our second visit to Sankt Valentin. As always, it's a beautiful area with plenty to offer. We also spent a day cycling around Lake Reschen on e-bikes. The bike paths are fantastic and highly recommended. Sankt Valentin also has several good restaurants (including a pizzeria) and shops for everyday needs.

A quiet village on a beautiful lake, which can be pleasantly walked around (4 km). In just a few minutes, you can reach the larger Lake Resia and the bell tower of Curon Venosta, rising from the lake, the only survivor of the village that was submerged in 1950.

A charming, classic Tyrolean village, very close to the lake. Various hiking opportunities are available, recommended for both experienced hikers and families, even with small children. An easily accessible cycle path connects San Valentino to Lake Resia and Austria in the north, and to Merano in the south.

This hotel is in a very privileged location just above the village. Views from the balcony of the relatively new room were truly fabulous. We stayed in the lodges which has been added later and features modern décor and a decent kitchen facilities. Walking up from the village to the hotel could be a challenge for some people with limited mobility. A nice adjacent restaurant. Close to the cable car.

Very nice hotel. Cable car almost opposite, plus many walking and biking trails. Bus stops nearby. Good car park. Very friendly and welcoming proprietors and staff. Base of Stelvio Pass about 30 mins if driving (we were). Nice decor. Great view from our room. Everything was nice, we last visited 10 years ago and would like to visit again a lot sooner.

The shower was amazing 👏 the scenery of the location magical and a nice, descent breakfast. We needed a place to sleep overnight and it was great for that. The staff very friendly. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel is an old place and brings you right back times forgotten..I loved that.
