What an amazing Hotel, tucked away in beautiful serene surroundings. The gentleman and the receptionist were so helpful and guided us to where we wanted to go. Our room was beautiful, clean and the view was spectacular. We were amazed by the professionalism and kindness of all the staff. Beautiful location and value for money. Front desk staff was very nice and she gave us the room with spacious terrance and fantastic seaview. Location is perfect and quite convenient to everywhere. Breakfast was amazing and staff were quite attentive.

A truly lovely hotel with a wonderful chilled, laid back appeal.. the staff have been amazing, so so helpful and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect.. The room (upgraded from our standard double for free 👍😀) was lovely, beautifully decorated oh so comfortable.. Free Prosseco every afternoon, breakfast in the wonderful Jasmin garden, hot tub, massages. it’s a real haven. and location… just minutes from the sea front, restaurants, harbour and bars… just perfect.

Almost everything is perfect here from reception area, receptionists, staff, breakfast, bedroom, bathroom, towels & toiletries, etc...Location is also ideal, short walking distance to train station, bus or ferry to Portofino, and to the old town of Santa....and the rate in late October was very reasonable. that was my second time with The hotel and as at the first time everything was amazing especially the staff. Always helpful and always with smile. at the room you have everything you need. the shower with great water temperature and pressure. We loved Santa Margherita Ligure.

We loved Santa Margherita Ligure. You are able to take nice waterfront walks, all the way to Portofino if you want. The city wasn't too crowded when we were there in October and makes an excellent base to explore other areas like the Cinque Terre, which is only 1 hour away by train. There were many restaurants to choose from and local grocery stores with reasonable prices.

SML perfect balance between Camogli and Portofino.

SML perfect balance between Camogli and Portofino. Busy, but not nuts. Expensive, but not "break the bank". Friendly without being pretentious. Like most of Italy, easy for English speakers. This review based on off-season visit, so no idea about June/July! Cinque Terre different animal, so will not compare to that city.

Nice town with much to do in town and nearby.

Nice town with much to do in town and nearby. Go to Rapallo by train and take the aerial tram to see the church and eat at the restaurant with the most beautiful terrace about 200 yards through the trees on a path of enlightenment. Go have a drink by the castle for a lively scene and view.

Lovely sea side town. Very good ferry link for Portofino. Nice shops and good restaurants and are more reasonably priced than Portofino yet only takes 15 mins to travel there by boat. We went end of season in late September and there were a lot of locals swimming and enjoying the sea. I didn't get chance to walk between the 2 resorts but it looked flat and easy. Highly recommend a visit on the ferry to Santa Fruttuoso - stunning. can get busy when a big cruise ship arrives in town. The harbour is interesting and lots to see and people watch. some of the yachts are impressive!

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and...

We only stayed one night but walked along the beach and watched the sunset from the marina. We also visited the local shops and ate dinner in the restaurant next door which was excellent. We enjoyed the sunrise from our terrace. The pool was open but it is outside and unheated, so it was too cool to swim.

It was not as hectic as some nearby villages. But had easy access to the Cinque Terre by the train pass. Beautiful & clean. Lively atmosphere in the evening. Prices were a bit more reasonable as well.

Our stay at this fantastic hotel was truly unforgettable. The staff were incredibly professional and friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. It was the best hotel experience of our entire trip in Italy. The breakfast was amazing, and having the rooftop jacuzzi and sun terrace all to ourselves was a dream come true. The garden where we enjoyed breakfast, surrounded by fruit trees and plants, provided the perfect romantic atmosphere. We are so grateful for this experience and can't wait to return!

We spent 2 nights at Plan Sea, and it was a delightful stay. Not to mention that the host Federico went above and beyond that our stay in SM would be great, he gave us the best recommendations what to see, what are the best beaches and where to eat. He even booked for us restaurant, and it was exceptional. Definitely will come back to Santa Margherita and visit Plan Sea again. Sangria is as everyone in reviews are talking- the best!
