Torri is smaller than other places on the lake, but has good restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours. The Garda weekly market visits it and it has a good waterfront with waterside walks. Well placed on the eastern side of the lake with all the other places about 45 mins car travel up or down the lake. Torri del Benaco is an absolute gem on the east of the lake.
Torri del Benaco is an absolute gem on the east of the lake. It may be overlooked because of the closeness of Garda and Bardolino but that would be a mistake. It has a beautiful pine tree lined promenade, a gorgeous little square, many restaurants built over the lake on stilts and it has a much less full on touristy feel, even though there were plenty of people going aroundGuest review byGraemeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Special place for us. We used to stay here every year. It is nice and quite place with small shops, restaurants and beautiful views from every sides. There is also the ferry that will take you quickly and comfortably to the other side of the lake. There are nice places on the beach and the possibility of hiking and cycling. Very pretty little old town with very friendly people.
Very pretty little old town with very friendly people. There are some nice shops and many, many restaurants offering good food, particularly fish. Prices are comparable to any other tourist resort in the area. There is an interesting castle and many little ancient alleyways in the old part of town. In summer one can swim off the beach at the far end of town. It is a good location for short trips to other towns and villages along the lake by car, bus or ferry/boat. Public transport is reasonable but can be tricky getting from the airport. The taxi is much faster but will cost €85 each way.Guest review byF&IUnited Kingdom
