Kind and welcoming host, idyllic location and a cozy and beautiful apartment, in the heart of the old town. The breakfast was excellent, including local organic products from the host's family business. The apartment had everything we needed, including great indoor temperature and a lovely private courtyard. The town in summer is very lively, we found everything (restaurants, banks, groceries) within walking distance, and there are many breathtaking landmarks within 1 hour drive.

The village is very pretty, making for a pleasant stroll. The two basilicas of San Pietro and Santa Maria Maggiore, two splendid examples of Romanesque architecture, are well worth a visit. The archaeological museum, which displays a series of finds from the Etruscan necropolis, is also interesting.

Wonderful, definitely worth discovering and visiting. Not only does it have stunning landscapes and an incredible history, but the food is truly excellent and you'll feel truly pampered by the locals.

A small medieval town. Very charming.

A small medieval town. Very charming. The entire area within the walls can be explored on foot. Excellent restaurants. I found the two churches outside the walls (St. Peter's and St. Mary Major) both ancient and fascinating. Some scenes from Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet were filmed inside St. Peter's.

Tuscania is stunning!

Tuscania is stunning! It deserves a visit and our full support, especially in saving the two oldest churches, St. Peter's and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, which are in dire need of assistance. Let's save our history and support our culture!

Tuscania is a very peaceful town steeped in ancient history...

Tuscania is a very peaceful town steeped in ancient history (we're talking about the Etruscans!), well-developed and well-maintained. I would recommend it as a base from which to explore the surrounding area. After a nice stroll through the town itself, which is also full of lovely restaurants where you can enjoy excellent Lazio cuisine, I recommend it.

As for the historic center, it's a typical central Italian village that I particularly love. It's ideal for visiting the many villages, lakes, Etruscan remains, and more within a 30-50 km radius.

Great accommodation, best we had in Italy for that budget, clean, nicely decorated in a private house with charm. The host was very helpful and speaks excellent English, which is rarely the case in Italy:) Tuscania surprised us very much, lovely energy and great little town, we highly recommend it!

Lovely location and a beautiful house. The room was large and clean, bed comfortable. The breakfast was abundant and very nice, with a good selection of homemade cakes. The pool was lovely and the fridge near it was handy to store drinks and food. Lots of good places to eat in nearby Tuscania.
