Very nice hotel, close to Bari, and good starting point for exploring this part of beautiful Puglia. It has big, free parking in front of the hotel. The rooms are nice and clean, with very comfortable beds. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. We were very satisfied with everything, but staff of the hotel, from the waiters at the restaurant, to the receptionists are the best part of it, always smiling and ready to help. Highly recommand!

It was the perfect place to settle in for a few weeks and really get to know the area. The neighborhood is stunning - in the oldest part of town. Very authentic. Easy access to groceries l, restaurants, bars. Super friendly staff and neighbors. Nice and quiet and very comfortable for sleeping and relaxing.

We had a really lovely time here. The lady who welcomed us was super friendly and very helpful. The room was bigger than expected, spotlessly clean, and smelled fresh. It was a perfect base for exploring the area, and we felt comfortable from start to finish. Highly recommended!

We spent a wonderful week at this house! The villa is located in a quiet residential area of Valenzano, just a short drive from Bari, many beaches and close to everything you might need. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and fully equipped for a long stay – we especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and the small touches. It truly felt like home. There are 2 local shops just a few minutes away, and we also found a lovely bakery nearby with fresh pastries every morning. The private parking space was a huge bonus, as we had a rental car and didn’t want to worry about finding a spot. Our host was amazing – always quick to reply, and kind. We would return to Villa ElSi without hesitation. Highly recommended for anyone looking for peace, comfort, and great hospitality in southern Italy!

Valenzano is a small town near Bari (20km from Karol Wojtyła...

Valenzano is a small town near Bari (20km from Karol Wojtyła Airport in Bari), and a good starting point for visiting the Puglia region. We liked the central park of the town, the old buildings, the palm trees, the blossoms on the side of the streets: leander, Californian lilac, and bougainvillea. When it comes to meals, the main inconvenient is that all restaurants are closed from 2 pm to 7,30 pm. We ate at Bistrot Da Carlo, where the owner went out of his way to welcome us even before the opening hours (which we really appreciated, as we were thirsty, hungry, and exhausted from too much walking that day). We recommend their "Frittura di Calamari e Gamberi"(fried seafood), which is absolutely delicious and quite affordable (12 eur), accompanied by the Prosecco wine (15 eur/750 ml bottle). Orechietti - their traditional pasta - is tasty too, and we also liked the antipasti (which are appetizers), the best of which were the fried zucchini (utterly fabulous). The sweets were good, too. Everything was inexpensive at this restaurant (even the "coperto", which is the equivalent of the tips in Italy, was only 1,50 eur/person, while in other restaurants it is 2,50 or 3 eur/person). We didn't find much to do in Valenzano, not even shopping - just two "salumeria" shops from which to buy some traditional cheese and cold cuts.

We used Valenzano as a home base while exploring the region: Polignano a Mare (super crowded beach area in August but rather picturesque), Alberobello (featuring unique conical roof architecture), and Matera (imagine Positano on the Grand Canyon; the adjacent cave housing was occupied from around 7,000 BC through the 1950s).

Valenzano is a town with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Lovely bars, restaurants, and shops are nearby. Beautiful places to visit include Bari, Monopoli, Trani, Barletta, and Ostuni, as well as lovely beaches and rocky coves.

Valenzano is the perfect starting point for your trip to Bari. From there, it's easy to drive to Bari yourself. Valenzano is a small, typical town with a charming Italian atmosphere.

A quiet village just outside Bari.

A quiet village just outside Bari. The city center is just a few minutes away (by car or public transport). Easy, free parking is available. Perfect for those like us who wanted to visit both Bari and the wonderful coastal gems further south, such as Polignano a Mare and Monopoli.

A charming little town on the outskirts of Bari.

A charming little town on the outskirts of Bari. The Old Town boasts charming streets. The fruit and vegetable shop in the center offers a wide selection and friendly service. Church on Palm Sunday provided a glimpse into the local customs of the day. The church was packed with people and many children, all holding olive branches.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic, the apartment was modern, clean and had everything we needed for our stay, it is perfect for both a short an long stay. The apartment was located in a very quiet and cozy area, close to restaurants and supermarkets. It was also easily accessible to Bari, making it a perfect base for our stay. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful since before we arrived. Definitely recommended and would stay there again if we come back to Bari and Valenzano!

The B&B was in a great location easy to get into Bari Central by train . In the centre of Valenzano It was Clean and well provided for in a small town . Large double room & bathroom both with plenty of space and a large balcony to sit outside. I loved the access to the kitchen area which has a microwave & coffee machine. And the outdoor space for all and private balconies are fantastic. A lot of thought has gone into the premises. With lovely personal touches.

The hotel is really nice, modern, almost new. The room size was great, unfortunatly we have been next to the lift, and it is noisy in the morning. The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but if you are on car, it is not a problem, but you have free parking.
