The room is equipped with everything you may need, including a view on Mt.Fuji if you're lucky. The onsen was nice, and besides body soap and shampoo it also had all types of cleansing foam and lotions around the sink. Breakfast was buffet but Japanese style.

I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen.

I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen. The fare is ¥5900 one way and travel time is nearly an hour. I stayed at Toyoko Inn which is 150 meters from the Shin Fuji station. There are lots of car rentals in the area but I was not able to get one as they only accept advance booking from their website. It took me 2 hours getting to and from the foot of Mt. Fuji, by bus and a 15 minute walk in the village to reach my destinations. Roads are quite narrow but they are common in Japan. Like most countryside places in Japan, Fuji is relatively clean, rich in nature, and lots of places to explore. My advice if you want to visit Fuji: 1. Travel by Shinkansen going to and from Fuji. 2. Rent a car so you can visit most of the attractions in and around Mt. Fuji. 3. Spend at leat 3-4 days in the area. 4. Bring cash with you always as most establishments are cash based. 5. Download Papago app on your phone so you can translate Japanese images, signs, etc if you're having difficulty understanding the language. That's it and enjoy your trip to Mt. Fuji.

The hostel was perfect for our stay, great design and a beautiful view of Fuji. The staff - especially Mako - were some of the most incredible and helpful people we encountered all trip. They went above and beyond to help us plan the next steps of our trip, and we are so grateful for their kindness, patience and hospitality.

The hotel is nice and modern, the room was comfortable and on the rooftop you have a good view of Mt Fuji. The hotel manager is also a lovely woman who can give you great recommendations for stuff to do and places to eat at nearby. The bar downstairs also has some really nice Japanese craft beers to try.

The hotel was right outside shin-Fuji station so when you’re coming off the Shinkansen, it’s super easy to get to. It’s a little far away from any other train lines, but there are taxi stations super close. The facilities were so great and the room was quite big and spacious!

The hotel was very close to the respective train stations, and you can get a fairly unobstructed view of both the sunrise and Mt. Fuji from the roof (just ask permission first). Rooms were extremely spacious, comfortable, and nice city views. Quiet as well!

The location was perfect and car-friendly. If you rented a car, there's plenty of parking spaces. We loved the view of Mount Fuji from the hotel room, it's very true to the ad.
