10/10 stay. Excellent facilities. Delicious Japanese breakfast offered daily. If you want to try this Japanese breakfast, I suggest booking in on the day you check-in as it can get very busy and you may find there is not enough room to accommodate you. For 1,200 yen, we enjoyed the varied options. The dining staff are very friendly. Comfortable bed and clean rooms. Cleaned daily. I appreciated the bath and bath scents (you can help yourself to amenities at reception). The day and night view in our room was nice. The hotel location is excellent. So close to shopping malls, restaurants, Hamamatsu castle, riverside walk, the act building walks. Our Hamamatsu stay is a highlight of our trip to Japan. We would like to visit again and would book this hotel without hesitation.

It was an amazing stay! I didn't expect a SPA to have such a comfortable bedroom. The space was small but big enough for one person, it's like a capsule bed but you have space to put your belongings with a table and chair. The best part was the shower and the common area, very clean! Very recommended!

Hamamatsu is a small industrial city located about halfway between Kyoto and Tokyo. It has a number of industrial tourism sites - Suzuki Plaza, esp., and music-related sites - Yamaha Innovation Road and the Musical Instrument Museum. There are a number of Jazz- and Classical-music festivals in the fall, and that is a good time to visit. Lake Hamana is beautiful, and there are a number of interesting temples, shrines, and historical sites like the small but beautiful Hamamatsu Castle. Mostly ignored by Western tourists, but easy to get around, it's charm is in one's ability to visit Japan as it is for those who live there.

Before checking in ,in Grand Mercure Hotel,me& my family got the chance to visit the Flower Park near the hotel.The view ( diff.flowers )was great& stress free.The cool & good weather & nature refreshes us.We we’re able to ride in a boat 🛥️ for an amount of¥700 per head & it was fun.Went to the roof top of the tower . This travel was really a memorable trip,wishing we could stay longer to visit other places.

We booked two rooms, the front desk is nice, and they have four car parks at the back door, arrival earlier can book these car parks. The room size is OK, but my room's toilet has a poor smell, I need to go to another room for the toilet, but it looks quite clean. Have no idea about this smell. The front desk is very nice and friendly.

I was here for work, so I did not have time for visiting properly, but I have been here several times, so I know it a bit. There is not much to see, as it is a small town, compared to Tokyo, Osaka or Sendai, but it has its positive aspects. Located between Tokyo and Kyoto, it is a good starting point for visiting these cities, as well as Nagoya, Shizuoka, or the Izu peninsula. It is famous for being the hometown of Yamaha and Suzuki, and you can visit the Museum of Musical Instruments as well as the Suzuki museum, an unexpectedly interesting spot. It is the centre for the production of eels (unagi) and you can taste them deliciously prepared. Good restaurants, not of the fine dining type, though, but good average quality and price Not to miss: Tir-na-nog, the Baird Brewery Beer House

Very close to the Hamamatsu shinkansen station. This hotel was a nice cheaper option that's still closer to Nagoya where the hotels are quite expensive. The locals were very helpful with helping us with directions and were even interested in having conversation while trying their best to speak English.

I've stayed at your hotel every time I visit graves in my hometown of Hamamatsu, and I even held a class reunion there a long time ago. I've been a repeat customer for nearly 20 years, and have always enjoyed my stays there. This time, however, I felt a sense of loneliness. It made me consider staying at my parents' house near Hamamatsu Cemetery, my third trip home this year to visit the graves. Something about the hotel I'd always taken for granted had changed (perhaps it was because the appearance was the same, but the staff's service was different than before, which was sad?)! I have one complaint about the use of the disabled parking lot: "There were three cars parked there without a disabled parking certificate. My wife is 83 years old and uses a wheelchair, so we arrived late and were unable to use the parking lot, and had to park further away."

We loved everything about this Hotel. We were on the 43rd floor and it was not only the largest, most comfortable room out of the many rooms we had stayed in during our 3 weeks in Japan it was also the cheapest with the most amazing view over the city form a huge unobstructed picture window. It was clean, in a great location with everything at your fingertips Staff were very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. It was the perfect 2 night stay to end our trip.

I liked everything about this hotel. The location was great, just a 10 minute walk from the main train station and 10 minutes in the other direction to Hamamatsu Castle. The breakfast in the mornings was delicious (fyi: but difficult for vegetarians). The room itself was big enough to keep my luggage open during my stay here. AC worked perfectly and there was even a humidifier. I can really recommend this hotel!
